See this is what I don't get.

We were 84 points better therefore we are 84 points better. And if you believe the footy saying that you're only as good as your last game, then we are definitely 84 points better.

But still, keep the delusion cooking PAPs. It's fun to watch.

Facts kinda make things hard to dispute though, so it's best just to ignore them.

On my kids lives....

I had one port supporter tell me yesterday
" I reckon we'd beat you if it was a Port Crows GF"

He was serious .....
Well recent history between the 2 clubs does support that theory. :drunk:

But finals are different though. I'm sure if there was ever a Showdown final it would be a very close match. :drunk: :D

So I just got a text from Mum (lives in Brisbane) asking 'Have the Crows been done for salary cap breach???'

Immediately I thought 'what? get stuffed' - came onto bigfooty - nothing on the main board, nothing on the crows board, nothing on the scandals board...

I replied and said 'uh only with tippett back in 2012 - what are you talking about?'

Turns out a work colleague of hers decided it be funny to make up horse shit and watch her squirm

They gave up trying to get one full puzzle a while ago and have just settled for crushing together pieces from completely different puzzles and hoping that no one notices that it doesn't look right.

Ken at the selection table today.

"Oooh, Matt White and Jimmy Toumpas"

"fit damn you, fit!"

Neade

Please play Neade .....
:D
I was just looking at the 2012 draft to see what Port gave up to get Neade. Turns out is wasn't much as GWS traded Neade (as a GWS pre-selection) and Hombsch for Pick 28.

The 2012 draft is like a wasteland after Pick 30. Excluding F/S picks and rookie upgrades, there are about 5 good players in the 40 players picked after Pick 30.

Pick 41 - Mason Wood
Pick 46 - Tim Membrey
Pick 48 - Dean Kent
Pick 60 - Mark Hutchings
Pick 81 - Rory Atkins

Looks like we got really lucky in grabbing Atkins.

Funnily enough, the first 35 players picked in the 2012 Rookie Draft were better than that lot (several teams passed, so pick 41 was actually the 34th player taken).

Pick 11 - Matt Taberner
Pick 14 - Kyle Hartigan
Pick 15 - John Ceglar
Pick 16 - Jake Lloyd
Pick 37 - Dayne Rampe
Pick 41 - Jack Frost

Sydney did really well there, but Hartigan was a decent pick for us as well.

OMFG. Thats gold.

I love the "sit in the stand, sit on the hill, sit in one of the empty corporate boxes, sit with Ken if you want, sit along the boundry line or sit below the AA Call box and bang on the glass so Tim Ginever can talk about how passionate the supporters are"

And that's with a loose definition of "good" too. Kent and Hutchings are only passable

So, in summation, you can get into a Port Power home game if you:
  • Bought a copy of The Advertiser
  • Bought a ticket for someone else's match - the Magpies - and use it
  • Sit through Kochie's wisdom that it makes financial sense to buy stuff when it's cheap, like food and petrol
FMD. What a bunch of clowns.

What's next?
  • Watch Sunrise on Friday morning, write down the codeword and give it to the gatekeeper on match day?
  • Recite one of Kane's tweets to the ticket office without puking?
  • Swap your heat map for a spot on the Port bench?

Pear is just trying to cover its arse. They know there will be a huge fall off in attendance after the belting in the Showdown and are searching for ways to avert it. If the numbers say 35,000 or so, then they can say "See, it wasn't that bad".
A boon for them is that Collingwood has a big following in SA.

Yeah, I was being generous, although Hutchings has played 61 games, which is more games than any of the other 4 players I listed (and yes, I realise that playing games does not mean they were necessarily good games).

I note that the same familiar cycle has started again over on the Port board.

The anger from the loss has turned back to, "we could easily win 3-0 and then beat the Crows in the finals".

I am willing to bet that they will thrash Collingwood this week and then it will be back to "Port are back, unbeatable, top 4, premiers etc"

Every time you drive over The Birkenhead Bridge your number plate is scanned and you get a family pass.
