To be honest Powell Pepper is a star. For a first year player, he stood up tonight.
Ogilvie (and many others) stuffed that one up...he wasn't even Port's first choice!

But on the topics of first year players, and seeing the impact of Richmond's mosquito fleet...I believe the time has come to play Galluci (along with a returning Cameron).

Unlike Richmond we will also have quality talls but a forward half with a rotating fleet of Betts, Knight, Cameron, Galluci, Milera will give us the pace/zip/pressure/chaos we need down there.

Geelong's draw inc GWS, Sydney, Richmond, us and their bogey team, Collingwood.

GWS's draw inc Sydney, Richmond, Geelong, West Coast, Melbourne and Bulldogs. So if GWS win the majority of these they will knock out those fighting for a top 4 spot.

Richmond have the best draw of the top 4 - GWS and Geelong of the top 8 only (plus Saints twice!!! - how does that happen in last 8 weeks of a season)

Just cause one player picked after us is quality doesn't mean we've stuffed the pick up at all.

The worst outcome was losing to North and Hawks and to a lesser extent Melbourne. We need to keep winning and tonights result doesn't change that.

North Melbourne because it started the doubts. Hawthorn because it confirmed those doubts

The flag is so wide open it's ridiculous. It's a pity we aren't 5-10% better than we currently are as we'd be a monty. Who the hell is going to win it?
Whoever has the best day. Who gets there is anyone's guess but I still think once the Giants get some cattle back they'll win.

Sydney IF they make it will be tough. Everyone else has huge question marks.

It was obvious I was talking about the worst outcome of the GWS v Cats game... mentioned this at 3 quarter time & jinxed myself.

Yep, Beech out for Gooch for the rest of the year would be good IMO.
