I'm not usually an aggressive agitator around here, but here goes.

Many of you need to harden the f*ck up. You sit here and whinge about how depressing our history is, and how poor our finals record is. And you'd be right.

But then when we secure Top 2 three weeks out from finals, all you do is worry about how good Sydney are. Then when we secure 1st before the last game is even played, you whinge about having to play GWS or Port. Or oh gee, Geelong are pretty good.

I reckon a lot of people here prefer it when we don't finish high, so then they don't have to put up with the pressure. Well, f*ck that. Premierships aren't handed to you on a platter.

After the bye we had statistically the toughest draw home. If we made Top 2 from there, we would have earned it, and be a flag favourite. Well guess what. We're top. Does it mean we've done enough? No. Does it mean we're monties? No. But it means we're in the box seat. If you sit around worrying about having to play this team or that then you're f*cked before you've even started.

Since we secured Top 2 the club has looked at the bigger picture and is doing what's necessary to be as well prepared for the Qualifying Final as possible. How about we fire the hell up instead of worrying about other teams? It's a losers mentality.
All of that would be quite right if anyone on here actually played for the Crows. But as (I assume) we dont, it has exactly zero to do with the premiership whether people post their worst fears or their greatest hopes or anything in between. It's discussion. It's what we do.

Good to be reminded of the positives though. So far we have had a good year. We finished top for a reason. Reflect, breathe and reset for the next phase.

The team that earns the right to a home final should be able to play it wherever they want.

I don't see why teams would choose a small, shit stadium when they'd lose a ton of money. But, for example, Geelong and Sydney should have the right to choose not to play at the MCG or ANZ
Do clubs get much of the gate for finals? Thought it was the AFL's money.

They should scrap "home state final". It's bullshit. You should earn the right to a home ground final. You should be able to play it wherever you want
But then clubs might want to control what happens in pre-game and other things like getting more money for playing the final at their home ground instead of the AFL controlling everything and taking all the profits. Yeah, that's not going to happen.

For what it's worth, I hope the little flog doesn't get to us. But I'd be stoked if the AFL bent the rules to enable us getting Devon Smith and Jacob Hopper. :thumbsu:
I thought your recruiting staff was the best in the business at identifying talent and drafting it? If you are so good at the organic growth, then why no players in the best 22 under 22 or that you have to go and poach talent from elsewhere? ;)

Can anyone tell me if Port will get to play their precious song for their home final?
I don't think they should but they did last time...?
