This week's selections show where each club's thinking is at:

Adelaide: "Rory is a bit sore and we think it would be best if he sits out" No worries, next man up and back the 22 we select to get the job done. We win and Rory has another 2 weeks to get 100% right

Geelong: "Joel's ankle is still pretty sore, but if we don't play him, it only leaves Dangerfield and Duncan to do the heavy lifting" Better bring him in. He plays like shit and Geelong get pumped.

They were desperate and Chris Scott's record in finals is horrible. They have been smashed in so many Q1's in their past few finals. So they went the desperate route

Most of Victoria will be behind them for their next navel gazing feel good story for a flag, the worrying thing is that the umpires probably will also just like last year.
The more adulation for them the better. RICHMOND in a grand final would be ideal for us.

Will the vics get behind them though?
I was always under the impression that like collingwood, you either love them or hate them.
Which is why I said most. There was a good discussion on SEN yesterday with Francis Leech about who you're supporting if your team isn't playing finals, it was pretty funny people's justification of why they want another club to fail or succeed.

Judging on last night's celebrations (and good on em, it's been over 5800 days since they won a final)

But if they go that big for celebrations if they win the PF, they may be a bit flat for the GF as they have "celebrated hard" already

Please just let us have the chance to play someone in a GF!

Interesting thought ( maybe) from last nights game.

Who has the worst last ten players in their 22, Geelong or Port? Geelongs top end talent is better due to who it is but their last ten players in the 22 are woeful or old and past it, I actually see more upside in Ports last ten, though upside may be a bit of a strong word to describe what I see.

Thats interesting. Are you from vic? I am curios to see what they say. I suppose if i was a collingwood or carlton fan id probably be going for gws, as much as i hate the preferential treatment theyve havd from the afl.

Tigers been underrated all year. They were about 3 goals away from being a game clear on top of the ladder. Still, would be happy to line up against them on the 30th.
Their first quarter against us was terrific. Can they go it for four. Anyway we have to win a prelim first.

Geelong supporters having a huge whinge about their home game being played at their home ground*

*the MCG is one of Geelong's home grounds
I don't blame them to be honest. Won the right to have a home final. Of course, they have to play at the G at some stage, but fact is we have a massive home ground advantage and the AFL took away theirs.

Yes but just one of many ways in which the competition is fixed. A minor one as well.

they shouldn't be allowed to play regular season games down at that hole in the first place, the ground isn't even symmetrical.

No, live in Ads just stream SEN while working.
The whole show is posted here but I think they were talking about it in the Bianca Chatfield segment.

If we go in to a Grand Final on the back of beating GWS and Sydney, then I'd be confident of beating anyone.

We just need to get there first.
Bang. But we need to earn that GF spot by winning a PF for only the 3rd time in our history

Nothing's deserved. And i feel our boys know it

I wonder if we'll do the stare down again, or if that was a one time thing?

At least they don't have the go home factor to deal with they can sit back and profit from the come home factor. Unlike all the non Victorian teams.

I recon a highland fling for the prelim.
And if we get to the GF a bit of the Maddison "nutbush city limits". Will surely put any ather team off.
Win that and I think a bit of line dancing with Billy Ray Cyrus's, "Don't break My Heart, My Achy Breaky Heart" would be most appropriate.
