I am all for lots of support for port by the new Chinese frontier.
Won't take long for them to jump off and find the real teams.

Correct - they dont duck, they fall, lean, collapse, dive. This interpretation doesn't change the dogs, but does selwood...we will see

Who's that young cretin that plays for the dogs lifts his arms and drops his knees every tackle. Free after free. He might be left sitting on his arse while the tackler waltzes off with the ball, probably so ingrained he'll take a while to mend his cheating ways. .

Our scoreline might look similar tomorrow night. Sure, Port are rubbish, but little can be gleaned from pre-season.
True. But then you get gems like this from their chief China fangirl

This Thursday night is vital to the extent of our success in China. I say again: extent.
Our success on the field during the JLT Series and rounds 1 to 7 is vital to the extent of the success of the Round Eight Project in Shanghai. I say again: extent.
We need the momentum on-field to be real an
d all-encompassing, to increase quarter by quarter and game by game, or we won't maximise the return on our China investment. We'll realise a return, a solid return, but we won't maximise that return.
This is the real challenge. Maximisation. With maximisation will automatically come international memberships from China, and merchandise sales in and to China via social media.

Sounds like the attitude of a franchise to me.

Well since China doesn't really use Twitter but Weibo you're gonna be hard pressed to find any increase.
So? What has Weibo got to do with the price of eggs? I said it would be interesting how the Twitter numbers change after the China game ...

Funnily enough, as Pdub pointed out - the Weibo numbers ended up being interesting immediately :)

Janus have you EVER just stepped back and stopped trying to defend every single position that involves your beloved Power? Have you ever been able to take a position anywhere near the middle of the ledger with your teal coloured heroes? Or is everything Power do regarding China (or anything else) just awesome in your eyes?

It's been mentioned in this thread before, but some of the positions maintained by the Power fanbase over this one match are scary. Brain-wash scary.

Saints crucifying Port at the moment. Skills a mile in front of Port. Working a lot harder to get off their man and into space. Getting more numbers to the contest. They look bigger, Port look like kids. Port look rusty, Saints look fit.

Ryder is jumping well is a positive atleast?
