There was a priceless moment in the second quarter of the Syd-GWS match. Mummy and Tiprat were "contesting" a centre bounce, with Mummy jumping and flattening Tiprat by pushing him the chest with two hands, while somehow managing to palm the ball down as well. Unfortunately, Tiprat got the free followed by a 50m and goal.

Damien Hardwick on coaching 2017:

"We've brought players here who are incredibly talented kids and they're all filled with key strengths, so I just want them to play and play good footy.

"The fact of the matter is they've got to become more childlike to do it. Hopefully it works."

We will never know how a genius' mind really works.
Reckons he "over coached" them last year, and this year they will have more of a free reign. And using childlike performance measures the Tigers are going very well. It's about participation, not about winning ;-)

I think he's onto something. The less Hardwick has to do with coaching the team the better they will perform. If he goes away completely, their stocks rise accordingly. Personally I think there is a lot of logic in his thinking.....

Thats what I mean. At his best he's the polish they might need on the big day. Reality is they were pretty handy without him in the first place.
Don't even know why they went for him, overrated.

I love how obsessed Port fans are with our AAMI lease, often saying it's worth $2M/year that we are taking from the SANFL. And for some reason think it should be on our books. Yet I doubt any of them know what port pays to the council for their land.

I'm not convinced that from a list mgt they needed him

It will be interesting to see how many games both he and Wells end up playing for their new clubs
Deldio imo is worth the risk as GWS chasing a flag & another big game player could be the difference winning a final.

Wells appears to be more an act of desperation for Bucks to keep his job. 3 year x $500k contract for someone who is injury prone when you are not likely to challenge for a flag...

Pity we cannot like a post more than once. While I agree with the first part, I believe you have nailed the bolded part.

For the Port Magpies it was a peppercorn rent which included upkeep of the ground.

Not sure if the same applies for the Power. But dont see why it wouldn't.

Which Allan Scott would have paid for the majority of their existence
