Power list manager Jason Cripps left the trade talks at Etihad Stadium on Thursday declining to reveal if Port Adelaide had executed a “salary drop” on Carlton with Lobbe.
“It is not appropriate to comment – (salaries) are confidential,” he said.
Don't believe everything you read in the press..
Adelaide or Port do not disclose players salaries etc. to anyone.

Hahaha... you lot have guzzled the Watts/Motlop/and now Thomas koolade as fast as you can get it from the media !

So your acolytes Rucci and Kane are wrong are they ?

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport...d/news-story/ebc5bea5cbbb4f3ab28eccba83fb7d71

But the Blues are not taking all of Lobbe’s salary from Alberton – just as Port Adelaide is not absorbing all of Jack Watts’ salary as it converts the 2008 No. 1 draft pick’s two-year contract from Melbourne to a three-year deal at Alberton."
You and OneGreatSadArse are such a cute couple ....

Oh, and what was that bullshit you threw at me about cancer ?

But China .,..

PORT Adelaide’s Chinese adventure continues to deepen far beyond the original thought of “moving out a crowded Australian market” to find new sponsorship dollars. Club chief executive Keith Thomas has returned from his latest trip to Hong Kong and Shanghai with even grander hopes of having Australian football introduced to more and more Chinese schools. So far, Port Adelaide has its “Power Footy” program in 15 schools, adding another two in Shanghai, during this week’s trip. There is hope to take this reach to 100 schools.

But there was an interesting challenge in explaining to the Chinese authorities just what game Australian football is.

“When we registered the program 18 months ago we could not say it was soccer nor rugby,” Thomas said. “We settled on Australian Oliveball. And the schoolkids are enthusiastically embracing the game.”

And thought why is that not a free, I thought the head was a no go zone, duty of care and so forth. Or does it fall into the it looks fine so is ok like taking a speccy with your knee in the back of someone's head? Opinions

I've been wondering hoe he gets away with it all year

Also surely if he's done the fend off the next touch of s tackle should be holding the ball.

But but Victorians

that's not a free because a) its Dustin Martin b) its Grand Final day and c) the umpires are spineless.

Certainly, because other high-fend offs have been pinged throughout the season (never seen Dusty done for one though - dropping into his push off would be a Selwood-style tactic that should reap the same rewards, but doesn't).

Someone on Bigfooty claims that when Dustin Martin stiff arms an opponent the umps apparently ignore how many metres he's ran prior to that and they give him another 15 metres from that point to bounce the ball.

I will have to watch next year to see whether that's actually true or not.

This annoyed me so much and it certainly wasnt a one-off incident. Powell-Pepper got away with high fend-offs all year too. The umpires really need to crack down on it next season.

Well for the very first time the Powah can say they invented something

"OliveBall"

They just continue with the laughs.

Haha Oliveball.

I can just imagine these kids in the future talking to their friends about the past:

"Remember when we played Oliveball?"
"Oliveball?"
"Yeah that game with the oval shaped ball, I think we played it in great 4 or 5? We kicked it through those big sticks."
"Oh yeah, rings a bell, do people still play it?"
"I heard they still play it in Australia, must have stopped here a long while ago, was a bit of a fad I think."

VETERAN Footy commentator Mike Sheahan says Port Adelaide are premiership favourites heading into 2018.

On the back of a dream trade period where the Power picked up star signings Tom Rockliff, Jack Watts and Steven Motlop, Sheahan says the club will go all the way next season.

Port Adelaide’s 2017 campaign finished in disappointment after their elimination final loss to West Coast, but Sheahan believes the quality of the club’s new signings immediately improves the club to the best team in the AFL.

Far beyond the thought of sponsorship dollars? Spin for they've given up on that?

Yep. Go the PAPs. Anything less than a flag win by 120 points is a failure, hey Kornes?

To deepen (Rooch's word), it would need to have achieved massive sponsorship dollars, then go further by going into schools.

Methinks this is going to be INSTEAD of achieving massive sponsorship dollars. When do they release their financials?

Actually, a very old name in a Chinese dialect for Rugby literally translates as "olive pit ball" (because of the shapes).

So mid year all we heard was how there were plenty of other teams looking to play port in Shanghai and Port would not play Gold Coast again due to the Guernsey fiasco.

Yet today I read an article saying they will be playing Gold Coast again and no mention of said teams desperate to play there for the cash and sponsorship opportunities nor anything about the Guernsey disagreement.

All this talk of how good this China deal is, yet when KT was questioned on AA about a replacement for Renaut, he dodged the question and mentioned how it was a hard sell to get sponsors.

KT and Koch are the kings of spin.

I'd expect and article from the hacks about how the PAPs are struggling to attract a sponsor....
