How can Adelaide & Port be Brothers ... They are not related & do not have the same father...The two teams are like this :-
Port is Foodland
Adelaide is Woolworths/Coles
Both offer similar product but one is local the other is national, one is owned by local people whilst the other is an ASX listed company.
One offers discounted memberships therefore cheapening its brand (Port), the other knows the value of its brand and people will pay it (Adelaide). Another example, ticket to Port's Chairman function $150- whilst Adelaide $400-.
They don't and will never accept, they will and always will be the little brother.

The brothers would have the same name .You're right Port would have numerous fathers
They don't and will never accept, they will and always will be the little brother.
Foodland is a franchise. Spot on.The two teams are like this :-
Port is Foodland
Adelaide is Woolworths/Coles

Probably true but the bigger point is how many people think they’re entitled to some sort of moral superiority and status just based on where they shop
A shittruck who spends their working time putting stickers on apples shouldn’t be looking down on the ASX CFO just because of what team he supports or where he shops
Goes both ways too
You may have missed the point.
I don't think people believe that have moral superiorty based on where they shop, it is based on one is seen as local the other national.
Port - local, Adelaide - national.
Adelaide - national
Port - international
You're right Port would have numerous suspected fathers
I'd rather be foodland
Give them time.I thought the Pooer were perennial preseason premiers
Lol. The only people that watched that game were expats and tourists from here, plus some local officials that the SA govt had invited. It's already had it's day.Adelaide - national
Port - international
AFL - nationalAdelaide - national
Port - international
AmericanCrow may disagree lol.Adelaide - national
Port - international
And yet the Crows have a bigger international footprint. go figure.Adelaide - national
Port - international
Who says we don't have our pick of companies?
According to LR and others, we extended the deadline because we needed to decide which major sponsor we wanted to go with. Unfortunately, business decisions like this aren't beholden to whether or not the 2018 jumper is ready to be wheeled out or not. But ISC and the club wanted to roll something out for Christmas, so they went with Oak front and back.
If people REALLY cared about getting the right jumper, just give people a Port Store gift card for Christmas and wait until the season starts. It's not hard.
Can Port be BI-LO? a discounted product "why pay more?"... for memberships.
Started very local, tried to become a national brand... failed.
And their last store closed this year (converted to something called "Spud Shed" - surprisingly not located in Alberton) ... there's still time.
