Long haired Champs.
So you're saying that after he was dropped for being average he had a year in the WAFL to have one last crack at the AFL and went full bunta and the Cats picked him up?
According to the man himself, that's precisely what occurred.Reckoned he got accurate feedback from Freo on weaknesses etc, realised it was likely his last chance and "went full bunta"!

Currently our reserves are a lot of under 18 academy players and his onfield leadership is obvious.
Yep watched him in the NEAFL on NITV a couple of nights ago and it was like an old Gu highlights reel.
Great to watch.

Mzungu after being injured has worked his way back into the GWS lineup.

Deboer has entrenched himself in the 18 on the field and now the Gu is named in the 22 on the bench.

Good work lads!
It shows GWS have finally filled a glaring gap in their club's structure...hairstyles.
Gu raises their silly hair quotient to just below league standard.
The Pig's hair has a strange beguiling nature. Several cults have popped up across the globe who worship the Pig's coiff.

Sounds like being delisted for the second time was the reality check he needed. Too bad for us the shoe didn't drop after the first time.

We still could have drafted him again in 2015 if we wanted to. We didn't. Too bad for us our recruiters didn't notice his immense improvement.

The draft is a lottery. Pick 66 - 16 clubs clearly didn't rate him. I am not surprised we didn't pick him up. He had previously demonstrated delistable traits.
Good on him for improving himself and getting another go. 100% happy with the recruiters on this one.

More pointedly - can you imagine the reaction on here if we listed him again and he spudded it up? The melts would be immense.

Lever is a total gun. I hope we wont regret passing him up for Weller.

I mean Weller has the potential to be something special...but Lever is a key position player that's going to be elite for a very long time.

Was thinking the same thought.
I just remember AP schooling Tex last year which makes me content at us selecting LW.

So who is more likely out of the Force and Rebels to get booted out of the SuperRugby comp?

I just don't think the dogs are as good as everyone thought they would be. They were a middle of the road team last year. Who caught fire and got lucky at the right time. And rode the fairytale in the finals.

Its just a shame we couldn't pinch a comp like the dogs did during our 4 years in the finals as it would make the rebuild a lot easier
