Long haired Champs.
What does that say about our coaching and development staff?
This has been covered multiple times on the board over the seasons.
Best track down Sam's own words on the subject,he's done a couple of interviews examining his development.
He was first picked and delisted by Hawthorn. When he was on our list he was a running machine who always won our 3 klms but a ball burner at Peel.Had a bad knee injury when we had a midfield stacked full of talented big blokes....etc.
If you find his interviews you'll hear him describe how being delisted by Freo made the lights start flashing in his head.........realise it could be over and reapply himself with an even more committed resolve.
This is what he himself attributes his improvement to.He is very grateful for the advice and development he made with us.
I think it says a bit about young blokes maturing at different rates and not a great deal about our staff.

Meanwhile, Port have had a massive win over Gold Coast, and moved themselves ahead of Sydney on percentage. If Richmond win tomorrow they will knock Sydney down to 6th.

Richmond would be 3rd, home final against Geelong pretty much- MCG. What a cracker that'll be.
Adelaide vs GWS. Look like Giants in a bit of strife.

Outside top 4
port against eagles
Sydney against essendon .
TBH, eagles have a chance. They play Port well at Adelaide Oval for some reason. But let's hope Adelaide actually turn up tomorrow.
But you never know.. West Coast at Subiaco, especially the last ever AFL game. Expect some career bests.

Thanks for the other perspective!
