Us and GC the only ones without a player in the AA squad.
Thought Hamling might've got a look
Statistically, Fyfe has had a season that is not that much different to 2013 and 2014 but is not as good as 2015. He is currently the 3rd ranked midfielder behind dangerfield and martin on player rankings, and yet guys like Seb Ross, zac merit, joel selwood, tom scully, dylan shiel (who he beat when he played against in the GWS game), tom mitchell, and Eliot Yeo get in before him..... - you gotta be kidding me?

No Walters ? He dominated before getting injured. At least get recognized in the 40 man squad.
But nooooo. Eddie Betts is amazing, consistent, superstar. Please.

Eddie Betts is amazing, consistent and a superstar BUT Walters should of been in the 40 man nonetheless

It's all good. When the Victorian selectors look past their nose next season we'll have a few.

Fyfe is our only A grader. Need a number of the young ones to stand up.
What a load of rubbish. Hamling, Walters and Blakely when playing all were much better than Fyfe this year. A.Pearce will join that next year, Bennell already destined to be an A+ and I assume another youngster will breakout next season. Fit Sandilands / SHill A graders. Neale when not carrying injuries. Mundy when he can play 4 quarters.

He's not consistent. Sure he can do incredible things, but if his teams stinking it up. He's missing. Not doubting he's a star, but the flashy goals don't mean he's always performing.

50+ goals for the past 5 seasons for a small forward would indicate that he is "pretty" consistent

Mundy is past his best, too inconsistent.
Walters i'll give you, and Bennell when he plays consistent footy.
Blakely not yet.
Steven Hill is not an A grader, goes missing too much, may have something to do with how Lyon handles him.
Sandi is 35 in December, A Pearce hasn't played for years.
Neale is a great player, but not A grade, a bit like Schuey.
I have big hope for Hamling, looks like our best outside pick up in years.
Mate, we had no players in the AA 40

Great player but not an A grader. Hmmm, what do you classify an A grader? Godly? :)

With the finals upon us, here's a quick peek at the alternate 2017 ladders.

Flat track ladder (v non-finalists)

Port: 12-1 // 1438 pts for - 774 pts against // 185.79%

Geelong: 11-2 // 1412 - 1081 // 130.62%

Richmond: 11-3 // 1419 - 1067 // 132.99%

GWS: 8-1-2 // 1144 - 864 // 132.40%

Adelaide: 8-1-3 // 1306 - 975 // 133.95%

Sydney: 9-5 // 1431 - 965 // 148.29%

Essendon: 9-5 // 1349 - 1226 // 110.03%

West Coast: 8-5 // 1226 -1065 // 115.12%

Freo: 6-4 // 801 - 854 // 93.79%

Top 8 ladder (top 8 v top 8)

Adelaide: 7-3 // 1109 - 801 // 138.45% (6-1 at home, 1-2 away)*

Sydney: 5-3 // 662 - 686 // 96.50% (1-2, 4-1)

GWS: 6-1-4 // 937 - 948 // 98.84% (4-1-1, 2-3)

Geelong: 4-1-4 // 722 - 737 // 97.96% (4-1, 0-1-3)

Richmond: 4-4 // 573 - 617 // 92.87% (3-1, 1-3)

West Coast: 4-5 // 738 - 793 // 93.06% (3-2, 1-3)

Essendon: 3-5 // 786 - 778 // 101.03% (3-1, 0-4)

Port: 2-7 // 730 - 897 // 81.38% (0-4, 2-3)*

Freo: 2-10 // 806 - 1306 // 61.72% (1-4, 1-6)

* Showdown games included as home games for both teams.

Ironic we played more games v top 8 teams than any of the finalists. Then again our poor form went a long way towards making them top 8 teams.

A bit like.
I rate Schuey
Yeah ditto, I love him. Shuey the ******* shoe has better burst speed and is a better field kick than Lachie. Genuine A grader but is left to do too much in a midfield comprised of utterly one dimensional players. If he had another good player in there (oh I dunno maybe someone who's name rhymes with lakely) he'd get more recognition.

Anyway i'll get back in my box with ep2006.

You'd think Walters would have been in if his missed games were at the beginning of the season instead of the end. Short memories for some of the selection panel I suspect.
