2015: Fremantle lose a home preliminary final, Fyfe wins the Brownlow.
2016: Geelong lose a home preliminary final, Dangerfield wins the Brownlow.
2017: Richmond have a home preliminary final, Martin is the outright favourite for the Brownlow

Will history repeat itself again?
Hopefully because I really want Richmond to lose

Lifesaver. My eyes were rotting away.
Yeah that looked extremely shit but don't think we will be allowed to change back to the old one forever though.

In saying that everyone melted at the time when BF changed to the current format. I was used to it from another site though.

FYI you can change the theme at the bottom of the screen. The original one is "cool" the new one is "slick"
So is this a permanent thing or 'just giving it a go'?

The old one (cool) is a bit more efficient in terms of layout/space etc., but I'm going to stick to the new one (Slick) for now and see if I can get used to it which one tends to if they just use it.

Of course if they came out with one called "Suave & Sophisticated", I'd have to go with that as it would match my personality.

So guys, tried to post this on the AFL board and it was banned but I genuinely believe it warrants discussion.

Out of sheer curiosity and procrastination I did a bit of research of the GWS 22 players picked against Richmond this Friday.
17 of them are first round draft picks*
3 of them are underage concessions
2 are second round picks.
1 is a 3rd round pick.
1 is off the rookie list.
*These aren't late first round picks we are talking about either. There are 4 number 1 picks (Scully Delidio, Patton Whitfield) and two number 2 picks (Kelly and Tarranto)

Out of those that are not a first round pick, two of the players (Matt De Beor and Steve Johnson) were not developed by GWS.
So essentially, from the entire team playing tonight, GWS have developed two players that are not first round picks - Rory Lobb (who was close to a first round pick) and Zac Williams.

I know this topic has probably been done to death but there really is no other conclusion to come up with other than they are a completely manufactured team. I know one thing - I'll be wearing a Tiger scarf tomorrow night.

I'm not sure if they'll be getting rid of the old one altogether. I'll ask for you. I'm sticking with it to for now too.

Lol suave & sophisticated

Pretty sure everybody already knows this and the smart money is on getting over it because you can't do anything about it.

It's not really about getting over it. It is more about wondering what the hell the AFL are doing attempting to manage the fairness of the code. For example, shouldn't more concessions go to a team that has actually struggled for quite a while. Aka Brisbane, Carlton.

Brisbane and Carlton both have their shit sorted out now. They just need their kids to get more experience and they'll pushing for finals soon enough.

Adelaide vs Richmond would be a good GF. Adelaide are the better team but MCG factor will drag them down to Tigers level, making a close game.

Nah I stand by my comments. The AFL isn't fair/equitable and that landscape doesn't appear to be changing. So in my opinion you can either:

1 - Become AFL CEO and make the changes you want yourself
2 - Forget about it and move on

Otherwise you will be endlessly be frustrated with something that you don't agree with and can't change. No amount of positive reinforcement on BF is going to make you feel better.
