He'll cost you $110,000 if you take him off, $220,000 and a spot in the 38 if you leave him on. Personally I'd delist him, take the extra draft pick and save $50,000 but it's up to you.

Re: 2007 Official Lists

I put Peter Burgoyne on the Veteran's List with Jeff White.

I also promote Cameron Cloke and if Angus Graham needs to be promoted I will do so.

Angus Graham will be retained on the Rookie List for 2008
Cameron Cloke will be promoted to the Senior List for 2008
Andre Gianfagna and Matthew Ferguson have been delisted

This leaves me with 3 Rookie spots

Re: 2007 Official Lists

Lists updated

All uncontracted players are assumed delisted, but they and the delisted players can be retained if you like. I have also assumed no delisted players will be on an AFL list in 2008. If this changes your cap will go up, it's up to you to make sure there's enough room in your cap to fit in any of these players. Any team over the cap had better get trading because that's about the only way you'll get under it.

You have until midnight this Saturday night to finish trading and bidding on opposition players. You have until 8pm Friday week to finalise your team's contracts before the draft starts

Re: 2007 Official Lists

Corrections to the Geelong list:

- Ricky Petterd was signed to a 4 year deal @ 86k (this was prior to the contract extention/salary changes)

- Matthew Leuenberger was signed to a 4 year deal @107k as well.

- I seem to be getting a different TPP to the one you've listed down (I'm using Excel, so pretty confident the calculations are right). It might be due to the payouts of my delisted players? I've noted it down as paying out 75% of Philips, Hayes, and Young's contracts (each of them $56,250 each), while Owen's doesn't count at all (UC = 0%).

My TPP should be $6,648,750.

All 75%'s are rounded down to the next $1000, there's a bug in my spreadsheet so everyone's TPPs are $32,000 higher than they should be. I'll fix that later.

Re: 2007 Official Lists

You thought wrong, the rest (and Simpson) is fixed.

Check all your trades have been done properly, I've obviously missed a few of them

Thankyou, my season is back on track

Re: 2007 Official Lists

Russian - Have you added the 75% of Ricciuto, Vandenberg & Camporeale into my TPP?

Camporeale did his knee late in 2007. 50%?
I'll pay 75% of Vandenberg because he played til the end of his last match and same with Roo.

Re: 2007 Official Lists

They're all 50, and yes I have

Oh, I understand your reply to my last post...

With Damian McCormack - If he isn't picked up I'll be paying 75% which is $75,000 for the 2008 season, yeah?

Re: 2007 Official Lists

Hey mate have hit a slight problem. I was pretty much right on the limit with the salary cap, $7,485,000 to be exact, and i'd worked on it so i had that salary at exactly 38 players on my senior list. However, here is where the problem was struck. I was happy, i had used 4 preseason draft picks, they were included in my 38 players. Yet the problem was, i used my 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th preseason draft picks on those players. Now i hear i am forced to use my 1st round draft pick in the preseason also?? I was not aware of this, and it has wrecked my side if that is the case because i will be over the salary cap and have 39 players. To keep it simple, can i just move all my players up a pick.
(eg) If i took Ricky Dyson with my 3rd round pick, i take him with my 2nd instead. Whoever i was meant to take with my 2nd, i would now take with my 1st pick. Simple procedure, keeps me under the cap and the correct amount of players??

You snooze, you lose.

Re: 2007 Official Lists

You snooze, you lose.
Basically, yeah

Using picks was not only to decide between equal bids from opponents, it also controls how many players you poach. I repeated the warning when people started bidding 8th round picks, ever since I updated the lists I've included the earlier PSD picks in compulsory picks. 5th round pick means 5th round pick.

Yeah i understand the rule now, and i realise i made a mistake, but surely a bit of common sense comes in here. I didnt realise i'd have to use the picks before hand that i didnt use, and fair enough thats my fault i should've known that. But its not like i'm trying to cheat or sneak out of anything here, i'm willing to use a better pick than what i originally offered. So if i offered a 2nd round, i'm willing to use a 1st, if i offered a 3rd round i'm willing to use a 2nd and so forth. Just a bit of common sense

It's not fair on those who have made tough calls to follow the rules if I now let you get around them. Also by offering a 2nd round pick you could of used (and possibly did use) your 1st rounder to make somebody else raise the price of one of their players.
