MUCH appreciated.

What if Hughes was to replace Suban? Does he have that kind of capacity? I guess Balic is the other player whose development fits a more inside mid kind of role (not really sure what Suban is tbh). I like bigger midfield bodies for now. especially if they have pace and skill.
Hughes looks fit enough where he could play anywhere! I think he could play midfield, he's got that real smooth look about him through traffic. However his 187-190cm height and his ability to run I recon would see him more as a third/fourth tall half back flanker.
Balic like Hughes has that basketball background, and always looks composed inside and out! Has that ability to choose the right option in traffic and hits his target by hand or foot. He's not that real bash and crash midfielder like a Joel Selwood, but dare I say it he moves similar to Pendlebury. Obviously it will take him time, but he can find the footy as well. Would rather Balic inside, and Hughes to fill in down back for now.

Any information what position grey and deluca play? Thanks

Grey is an example of that bash and crash midfielder! He's the type you want feeding it out to the classier players on the outside. Has speed and power like an Ollie wines.
Deluca is quite unique, real lively around the footy, started forward when he first arrived but I think he's built a tank cause he has played a lot of midfield and is good at linking up and breaking the lines. Would be peels most consistent high speed player.

I think he meant what position did they play in the Peel scratchie against Perth on the weekend? I think most of us have assumed they will both play as inside mids like they did a fair bit last year but with greater responsibility now that De Boer isn't in there (so alongside O'Brien and Balic).

Grey was in the centre. Deluca wing/centre/half forward depending on rotations :thumbsu:

Across half back for starters I agree but he's a versatile option alright and as you say composed and confident enough in his ability make good decisions and execute them.
Looks another likely prospect.

Anyone going to the game this weekend? Can't get there but keen to see how Balic, Hughes, Ryan, Apeness, Tabs and Duman go. Assume Cox will play as well so interested if there is room forward if Strnadica also plays.

Where and when are they playing?

Liking our depth. Not sure who is injured and not playing (other than APearce and Uebergang) but Peel could be fielding a very strong team today:

B Nyhuis Collins Ryan
HB Hughes Cox Duman
C Suban Balic Deluca
HF Ugle Taberner Crozier
F Bell Strnadica Jetta
R Apeness Sheridan Grey
I/C O'Brien Lawler McGowan Walsh ...

Add Logue and Darcy the following week and Peel looks pretty strong again this year. Can they all play league though?
