Hot Topic 2017 Phantom Draft - E.O.I.

I don't want to run it.

I would like to run a phantom draft.
I propose two different models:
1. A draft based off real club positions, occurring after the conclusion of trade week

2. A snake draft (order reverses each round) where each drafter selects their strongest draft class to about 5 rounds.

The first model is more traditional and requires you to try and weigh up needs vs available talent. The second is kind of a natural organiser of groupthink about the talent level of the draft class, where in pursuit of the best talent at every pick a sort of Carlton Board power rankings form.

Thoughts? Interest?

I really don't know what agreements were struck and as you put this forward Blue and Silver, it's only fair for you to run it.

Don't wish for this to get any more convoluted than it has already become.

Time for our boards 2017 Phantom Draft.

Calling out to 'players' who want to be involved, but first just for those who really want to go all the way.
Please don't nominate a club just yet as, if you trust me, I'll pull names out of a barrel and then when we have the full 18 clubs involved, I'll redraw those names and attach them to a club.

I feel that some posters deserve first dibs here and largely because they've followed this years crop harder than most.
Those posters would be SmokingGun Arr0w TerryWallet Jimmae ....... Sorry if I missed someone, but put in your claim and I'll deal with it.
If any of the named posters don't care to be involved, please say so.

I'm happy to run this Phantom and I won't be involved for my own reasons.

C'mon mate I'm 26, of course I work a job I am way over-qualified for to earn just enough as I support my partner through the end of her degree and I search for longer term career options.

What? Am I supposed to own a house? be married? have kids?

I haven't the time or the money.
