It mentions a few names that we should keep an eye on...Wooller for one. Vdubs player..Adam Cerra another
Joel Naylor sounds worthy of keeping tabs on....
Kicking more than half of Northern's goals in a winning performance, Joel Naylor, 190cm, 84kg provided a strong target up forward with 12 disposals, five marks (three contested), six goals and three behinds.
Hayes
Stephenson
Could do worse than any of those 3.

Good chance for any of those to be there for our pick? Hayes being tall may slip.
depends on - whether trade for picks,- where we finish etc
but I see Stevo as top 10, Cerra top 20, Hayes top 10

AFL draft 2017: Toby Wooller, grandson of Geelong premiership captain Fred Wooller, in draft mix

FRED Wooller, Geelong’s premiership captain in 1963, was a dangerous forward for the Cats during the late 1950s and ‘60s, topping the club’s goalkicking ladder in three seasons.

Now his grandson is surging towards an AFL career — and, like his grandfather, is impressing by constantly hitting the scoreboard.

Toby Wooller has been the Oakleigh Chargers’ most dangerous forward target so far this season, booting 12 goals from his five TAC Cup games.......

.....

AFL National and International Talent Manager Kevin Sheehan is a big fan of Wooller’s. “He can play centre half-forward or midfield. At 193cm, I love the way he reads it in the air and he’s a very promising player,” Sheehan said. Sheehan added that Wooller’s 80-year-old grandfather is often in the stands at Oakleigh games watching on and supporting his grandson.

Just on Wooller .. I have been raising his name since the champs last year.. I was sort hoping he would sneak thru to us somehwere but in KM latest power rankings he is certainly gaining notoriety

Weaknesses:
- Presence up forward

This kid is someone to keep in mind for later in the year...

Nathan Kreger......

Nice side step for someone his height

Here is a write up from grundog49 ...

Nathan Krueger
South Adelaide/South Australia
Tall Utility
Height: 194 cm Weight: 84 cm D.O.B: 25/6/99

Mobile, tall and a ceiling so high it would touch the clouds, Krueger is something special. Nathan Krueger is a roaming third tall who has shown a knack for rebounding the football down back and kicking bags of goals up forward. Kruegers mobility and skill at 194 cm is a sight to behold and something that earnt him a call up to play in a state trial game for the SA state academy and an u17 All STars invitation. At both games he was one of their best players and showed that he is well and truely amongst the best of the draft. Krueger next year will most likely play in defense but could play some time up forward or even run through the midfield as his mobility allows him to. A tall with a lot of tricks, Nathan with his blonde mop of hair is sure to standout.

Maybe I'm just misreading, but it seems like a lot of chaff. Don't read too many there that get me excited.

Im not sure what you want from the info... its not meant to be written viagra. ;)
Kreuger seems to be someone we should consider as as such when I see some info on him I will add it. The chance of that meaning we draft him is probably low but thats why the thread is about "potential". We have the mainboard thread which I feel is more about total list management ... I tend to think of this thread a possible draftees... so guys like Wooller and Kreuger will be names to watch . either at the champs or later in their comp play.

Which is fine by me, it just seemed like most of the descriptions there made the guys sound more like late/rookie picks than top prospects.

Toby Wooller
Medium forward
Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro
193cm/90kg
16/3/99

Wooller plays as a tall forward and has had a good season for the Oakleigh Chargers, where he has kicked 23 goals in nine games. Whether he is big enough to play as a key target at the next level is perhaps arguable, but he can also spend some time further up the ground. Wooller is a natural forward who knows where the goals are, and he is also a keen tackler. He is the grandson of Geelong's 1963 premiership captain Fred Wooller.

Joel Garner
Half-back/midfielder
Eastern Ranges/Vic Metro
183cm/81kg
21/5/99

Garner has played in a few different roles throughout this season, but his best position seems to be as a sweeping half-back, where he can use his long left-foot kick to set up the play. The indigenous prospect is solidly built, crafty with the ball and has clean hands to shoot it out and find a teammate. The championships should provide him a good platform to show his skills.

Vic Metro's Joel Garner boasts an impressive left foot kick. Picture: AFL Photos

With it being the halfway point of the season lets looks at some potential draftees
Be free to suggest and have it off below

James Worpel ( Geelong Falcons ) - Big bodied midfielder who looks like a Jack Ziebel type. Massive kick and a strong mark overhead. Kicking let's him down slightly but he has to attributes to be a top inside mid.

Joel Garner ( Scotch College/ Vic Metro ) - Sweeping Half Back / Midfield player who has been named as Vic Metro Capitan. Has Indigenous roots and could turn out as a jimmy Bartel type. Has good kicking but can be erratic with his thinking

Toby Wooler, James Capiron, James Tsiatis, Tom Atkins could also be players we may pickup.

I hear he's pretty handy with the cricket ball too.

Yes a reference he has probably heard once or twice. .

Id have to considering moving Stanley on if it meant we could add a better forward. No Hawkins was not just a hole , it was a chasm. Buzza may be due for a game but having a debut is not the same as being a ready to play KPF , and Menzels future is doubtful .

Like the look of Houlahan.... not sure where he will go but he has a lot things on his highlights that I think would be a great add.

and this kid Harrison Petty ..took some nice marks across the HB line

Petty looks like a good CHB. Seems to be pretty mobile, kicking is ok, and seems to drop in the zone for intercept marks nicely. 194cm is tall enough for the role, he is a bit light, but has broad shoulders so he can bulk on easy. Must keep an eye on him.

He is the type you could pick up with our 2nd to 4th pick, as a replacement for H Taylor. Currently we have no CHB prospect in the two's and is a list gap.

Only Gardner but he is a shutdown FB.

Nice one.
