Bit of a concern for Myers. Wouldve liked to have seen him in there. Also id say Zaharakis would be disappointed.
Concerning? Half the list has never played with him.
Heppell, Watson, Hooker and Hurley are walk ups on cache alone and Merrett and Goddard led last year, if we're picking 7, that was always going to be the 7.

IMO he in my eyes isn't far off Dyson as a leader. I would've had him well ahead of Hurley.
I also find it weird that Watson is still in the leadership group think hes either captain or not at all. Maybe a good head to have next to Dyson in meetings but is a player like Hodge still in the hawks leadership group? Or is saint Nick? Id also have Myers ahead of Goddard as well, maybe its a thankyou card for the last few years especially last.
Anyway sounds like Hooker was actually ridiculous close to being captain.
Few interesting things taken from the practice match.
Who was that VFL listed tall defender match up on Muller? He looked good.
Was it Ferry?
There was another unknown guy playing small defender who looked good - very fit, athletic, strong. Had a decent tan and dark hair. Would like to know who that was.
Didn't look like Ferry

I just watched the third quarter to watch Langford. He was seriously impressive. I loved the 21 minute mark turn of pace to provide a shepherd through the way of a bump to Jobe Watson. I didn't actually realise Langford was that quick. After a quite first two quarters, Langford went to another level in the third quarter. He has been queried as someone who holds onto the ball too long but it seems to me that he is not taking too long to make a decision but, rather, that he is waiting for the best option to present itself. As a lanky kid who is 6'3 it didn't really work at AFL level but now that he's more man than boy he can absorb body contact and/or break a tackle. It's makes him a dangerous clearance player and is the sort of quality that could make him elite (it's a characteristic of players like Hird and Watson). He just needs to make sure that he is playing with intensity and he'll be fine.

*If you're wondering why a Collingwood supporter is so interested in him it's because he's in my keeper league team![]()
Not necessarily a given... when a captain steps down, they usually remain a leader, but not by title. Looks very odd having Watson on the 3rd line. But if that's what he wanted, then that's how it should be.Concerning? Half the list has never played with him.

it's a samurai bun! What kind of a man bun is that? It's more like a dag on sheeps bum.
Other than that - lid off!
This. It looks absolutely ridiculous. But my mancrush for him is in no way diminished. It's a ******* disgrace
