The ginger beer is very nice but their chilli beer is just a waste of beer and a waste of good chillies so don't bother with it.
I don't mind their chilli beer, though it isn't exactly suited to the climate when you're drinking it up there.

I tried their mango beer today. Not that I consider it beer, but either way, it's dangerously easy to drink...
Mate of mine works for the brewery that makes the mango beer under licence down here - it's just one of their stock beers with mango syrup added in.

Missed the run so don't know any placings and everyone was doing a handball drill then a kicking drill, only a couple of fluffs which is decent post 3k run

Neale was doing shuttle jogs on the side

Impressed with Balic staying behind, it's ******* hot
Good to hear that Neale is back running :thumbsu:

Super impressed Fyfe manages to do so well in these events considering endurance isn't an area he enjoys a natural advantage over others as he does in most things (aqnd he hada broken leg not long ago!). Testament to his will to win.
Impressive for Deluca too. Bodes well for his chances of making it as a run with player.

Fyfe in 5th! Is that good thing? Has Fyfe added elite running to his repertoire or did the rest of the boys just have a big chrissy?
He run fifth also in the first time trial. Maybe he skip Christmas and do running during that period  ( Fyfe always want to be good with everything , maybe a surprised tagger role in round one) . Super impress with deluca and vanilla sherro .

Langdon and Hughes were both ahead of Fyfe and deLuca in the first time trial. Wonder how they went this time?
I am curious about Langdon/Hughes result too . I think only one of them run 4 th place in Nov time trial . some article said Langdon run 4 th place other said Hughes. But I am happy and surprised fyfe did so well after his foot injury .

I watched my footage again. Langdon was a clear 4th in the first time trial.
Hughes, Fyfe and De Luca came in together. De Luca was coming fast, but I didn't record who crossed the line first of those three.

Fyfe has done well, but I think the story of the time trials is the rookie de Luca. He is really putting his hand up after a good WAFL Grand Final and now improved fitness. There may be a spot as a tagger or small forward available for him.

Does a 3km time trial mean anything?

Every season we see Freo providing updates on the running, but I'm interested in how important is a 3km time?
It's not really that relevant to footy fitness anymore. It's a bit of an anachronism that's still used because it's an easy fitness measurement to conduct with a heap of historical data available for comparison purposes.

They seem to run both 3km trials straight after breaks. Might give an indicator on the fitness of the players as they come back from post-season and xmas breaks.

Sometimes it does. In this case the results from today mean both Sutcliffe and Sheridan are well equipped to be run with players in 2017. Both players appear more likely to play midfield. Sutcliffe has definitely improved significantly from a year ago. De Luca is another massive improver.

I reckon Sheridan, and his mates Crozier, Tabener and co need to extract the digit and hit the gym. Too much social pages, gaming and f___ing Rix sunglass promotion (source: their instagram feeds, tanner Smith was bad also by way). Careers dead and wasted soon
You mean cease having a life outside of football?

Ordinary comment.

Depend on individual perception and how you measure important . I think if you are looking at winger or wingback /tagger that running overlapping run or stopping them. For me it is important to use 3km time trial as a measurement for their fitness.

I think they just aim for PB'S over anything else - it shows development in their base aerobic fitness levels

Yep it is for benchmark measurement purposes. It is combined with other measurements like skin folds, VO2 Max, and beep tests. And yes these are still performed but not under the publics eye.

Deluca is definitely putting his hand up with Yarran goneski. Now he just needs to be more consistent with his kicking which has improved.
