APearce fracture from running is just foobar. This, Our 2016 and Harveys last year, amongst other injuries is ridiculous.

All thank the spaghetti monster (or the Steves and Cockburn) that we are moving to different facilities imminently.

Faaarrrrrrrrrr...

Same leg?
Same leg.

Freo do have Collins as backup , he might even get better this year. Dawson is OK depth also. Logue might be throw into the line up earlier than expected depend on his pre season game.

Freo Pearce ,
Danyle is the most durable

I think we're overreacting here tbh. It says it's a six week injury lay off on the club website. Sure it might be ten in reality but it's not like he's out for the season. Anyone expecting we were going to go through the pre season without a training injury is kidding themselves. Look down the road - Tunbridge ACL. Last year at Freo - Morabito hammy.

We never really expected him to play round one anyway did we? Now he can just be eased into it. Sure he's a better player but having Dawson or Collins fill in isn't the end of the world. Both are more than capable especially if the midfield actually provides pressure up the ground.

The pre season apart from all the Yarran (gone now) and Johnson (overblown IMO) actually isn't too much different to most years. Probably have around the same amount of players in rehab as last year if not less.

Complications with a broken leg is very serious. You're also forgetting about Bennell.

Thank goodness Hamling was recruited to the club. One of the main reasons we suffered badly last year was the horror show with injuries to key backmen.
Dawson is clearly the man for the job now and with MJ back and firing and a great rookie looking to get games we should be fine. Ibbo is also apparently training the house down so competition should be stiff in the backline for spots.
AP should be given plenty of time to make sure his leg is rock solid for the latter half of the season. He is a very important player for us in future.

Maybe his injury is a down point but I left his "issues" with the law out as it is nothing. A $400 fine says it all. It costs more for my car insurance and I'm sure most on here would be the same.

Barlows recovery wasn't perfect either. Sure he didn't break it again. I'm confident the club can get AP playing good footy again this season. If it takes a year for him to be 100% that's fine, we held onto Zac Dawson for a reason.

Right about when MJ will break down and Dawson will be suspended - impeccable timing :p

Why couldn't D.Pearce or Suban break their leg. Why A.Pearce? Whyyyyy.
If Pearce, MJ and Dawson are not available I will be looking forward to seeing how Logue and Cox go in their debut seasons.

But it would still leave us with a backline of;
Spurr Collins Ibbotson
Weller Hamling Crozier

Hamling was probably going to be in our best 22 KPDs with Pearce and Johnson anyway.

Now it's either Hamling Johnson and Collins, or Hamling Johnson and Logue.

The main thing that worries me about this is it might open the door for Zac Dawson....

Having Dawson is fine as long as Weller and Crozier are distributing from down back.

Cox ? What about Ethan Hughes being considered
