Shame for Sam Collins but there was a reason we moved him on. Really good fella with great leadership skills but having poor kicking skills, agility and speed has hurt him. Many decent melts about his delisting.

Then there were plenty upset that we didn’t try to trade Clarke when there were reports that there was significant interest from other clubs.

"Oh and Bondy? Bring me back one of those Giros?"

Should have gotten a KPD. We only have 5 on our list..and one of those hasn't played for 2 years and another is 35 with injury issues.

Stefan GIRO
10-Mar-99 | 174.9cm | 71.6kg | Norwood
“Stefan is an elite decision maker who runs both ways all game. Moves through traffic very well and has very good disposal by foot. Constantly looking to improve and always leads by example on and off the field.” – Norwood talent manager Rick Shrowder.

20-metre sprint: 2.93
Yo-yo test:22.3 level
Agility test:8.21
After watching the Tom Brady six video, if a player makes great decisions, I don't care how the kicking style looks pretty or not.

How many left footer Freo take in this draft ?
Will be interesting to see Girro, Brayshaw going head to head with B.hill and Sheriden in 2km time trial .

Seem like solid picks but neither seem likely to be playing much footy other than for Peel.
I don't get why we don't take high risk/reward players as rookies. Get someone like Farrant & see how he goes in an elite environment. Or a gangly but high marking tall who is still growing and miles off their best fitness wise. Take a punt.
Giro & Banfield are already elite runners and trainers but neither seem likely to get much better than they are now and they won't a game at AFL for the foreseeable future, just don't see the point.

I see it differently , Farrant need to prove he is able to adapt to bigger body playing senior in WAFL . Banfield get knock back last year and go back and work his arse off .

Two reasonable selections - Bailey very consistent performer (height and body size for inside work) and Giro reads the play well, gets the ball and quite a good finisher by the looks.

Is Bailey Banfield a relative of Drew Banfield ?

He deleted that Tweet soon after I noticed. Now he has just forwarded Tim Gossages's tweet about him not being picked up, as well as replying to Guy Incongnito's payout on him regarding the above post. You could say that Hayden Schloithe just got handed his arse to him on a plate.

Looking at Giro closely there is still upside, areas he can improve on. In the highlights, on occassions seemed to gel well with Crowden in their mid work together.

Glad this tosser didn't get picked up.
There were other comments that I can’t be bothered looking up. Another around round 1 in relation to Suban being selected ahead of Crozier.

He definitely doesn’t pass the DH policy.

Anyway good luck to him.

I do feel for Collins though. It’s a tough gig.

:thumbsu:, the chemistry and bonding already there , just need to learn the game plan Freo or Peel .
