I would have to change my whole team around to get marchbank or sps, not happening now, bound to get a couple of picks wrong so no panicking now, corrective trades coming up after round 2 haha

Tomorrow is going to be crazy once teams announced.
Current Rookie situation in my team:

Marchbank, Hampton, Otten, Guthrie
Taranto, SPS, Bowes, SPP, Barett, Pickett
Strnadica
Florent, Simpkin, Butler, Eddy

Hoping for some cheap blokes to come in...don't really want SPS or Marchbank.

Here's my thinking on Marchbank. He's exxy, but he's not an 18yo getting just a taste either. He plays a point scoring game - intercept marks, nice uncontested kick it around in circles marks and kicks. He plays in a backline that will get shelled. Ie. the ball will be near him 65% of the time. He's best 22 easily all year long. Bolton would have brain damage to drop him in this development year. He is capable of big stat games, I think, >20 touches shouldn't be uncommon.

And the other rookies suck balls.

So I'm hitching my wagon, even if he ends up a bench cover piece.

no point picking SPS imo, ive already got SPP on field, so im not going to pay a premium for him to sit on the bench. If he comes out and goes bananas in the first two rounds, i already have the cash on hand to make a corrective trade from another rookie
I think I am going to go with the cash on hand strategy. No point spending every last penny only to have to make a major downgrade or double trade to get in the next hot rookie.

Good strategy.

He'll average more and score more than Waitering did last year IMO

I'm on board

Hey all!
Thought I had my rookies locked in, now having second thoughts.
Preferences with the below?:
Def: Hibberd or VW
Mid: Bowes or Parfitt or Pickett
Fwd: Pickett or Turner or Butler
Also what's everyone's thoughts on GH-Smith?
Thanks in advance!

I would just wait for teams to come in but for now
VW, Pickett and Butler. Coach will give Butler more than enough games but keep him on the bench, won't get big scores imo.
