i personally didnt think he would play early on due to the influx of Dons coming back and he is too pricey for me currently.

dont get me wrong, he is a fantastic player and will be in the future, but there are cheaper options in the backline in terms of rookies
Agreed, pricey rookie defence options are not worth the risk...unles Zac Dawsons replacement steps up.

Thoughts on Florent? Papley recovering from injury, McGlynn retired, Richards moved on, Heeney more mid time. Who is filling the gaps in Sydney forward line?

Sydney supporters might know a bit more than I do but I doubt he'll play too much this year, perhaps in the 2nd half of the year on the wing. Will Hayward is the guy who would be more likely to get the gig in Papley's absence, he's a medium forward with midfield capabilities.

Hayward probably more likely in my opinion. More natural forward and incredibly smart footy brain for an 18 year old forward.

Hey Guys, I know this is a stretch but anyone want to have a stab at the top 5 rookies for the Year.

Jesus.. :p

SPS
McCluggage
Bowes
Powell-Pepper
Ainsworth

1. Hugh McCluggage
2. Sam Powell-Pepper
3. Sam Petrevski-Seton
4. Tom Stewart
5. Jack graham

That's my top 5 total points prediction. I think Will Brodie might average the most in less games however.

I dunno why everyone has clung to Graham as a pick, I hope he plays because he's an outrageously developed man child, but he's dead atm, hamstring issue and is yet to partake in full training I believe.

I wouldn't have a clue about his fitness status. He's a big unit and a Larke medalist so I have pretty big expectations for him.

Still a good chance he plays a fair bit of senior footy even if he misses the start of the season though, right?

There were rumours Lions were looking very closely at him which I wasn't particularly keen on considering how early our picks were but he's undeniably ready for senior footy and a Larke medallist. What's the hamstring issue? I know he tore his quad like a year ago but what has he done now?

Yeah I'd hope so, just not too early.
Pettifer and Morton were Larke medalist too...
I'm not too sure, haven't been keep up with the pre-season, only minor I think. Supposed to join the main group in the next few weeks.

But he will be behind Prestia and supposedly Vlastuin as well for the few more mid spots.
Only issue is he seems a bit 1-demisonal, can't just plop him on a flank or pocket, so he might need someone to get an injury to get a gig.

I hope he does though, 117k, man child, good bye round. Being in the second wave of rookies would be ideal for Supercoach IMO

AFTER waiting four years for his name to be called out at the NAB AFL Draft, ruckman Darcy Cameron might get a chance early in 2017 to show his wares with Sydney.

Interrupted pre-seasons to Grand Final ruckman Sam Naismith and ruck-forward Callum Sinclair has raised the prospect of Cameron being given the opportunity to impress during the JLT Community Series

I know he is not a rookie but broomhead is at rookie price could be one to watch
Absolutely on my watchlist. Been unlucky with injuries but the kid can play. Gotta bit of Steele Sidebottom about him.

Look out for another pie in Kayle Kirby. Aboriginal boy who is said to be a Byron Pickett type small forward with a touch of Cyril. Very excited to watch this guy.
