Position 2017 Rucks

Haven't decided on R1 yet but leaning toward grundy or stef. R2 will be nankervis with Ryder AND Bellchambers playing at f3 & f5. A rookie r/f in r3.

I'm not sold on Gawn at that price but will probably get him in when he dips. Goldy for all the reasons mentioned already doesn't seem great either. Ryder seems solid as a long term fwd player and I think nankervis and Bellchambers are way under priced. Probably not keepers but great stepping stones at least.

Ive been set and forget most years so should be an interesting ride.

lol. yes. I've been burnt by him too but I reckon he's good for at least 80 as the #1 ruck. If he gets back to his best, he could be top 6 ruck scorers. Ultimately I have him OR Nankervis pegged as F7 when the team is complete. Whichever one isn't going as well will be used as a stepping stone.

Don't think Nankervis will be getting the ruck time people think he will this year.
IMO a lot more likely to play second fiddle to Hampson (good at rucking, bad at the rest of the game) and spend a lot more time FWD.

But I have been good with my Rucks over the years. Always going with my gut and doing pretty well.

Don't think so. He's bottom priced and averaged 86 & 81 in 2012 & 2013. Has been injury affected/suspended since. Scored very well when Ryder was out of the side. If he was 4400k, no chance. At $300k though he's not going to burn you cash wise. Might be a trade but it's the rucks FFS, you always burn one or two there!

Witts has the gig at this stage, training really strongly and Nicholls hasn't had a clear run over the offseason. Witts/Nicholls/Currie are all quite even so it is risky.
