Thoughts on Stef?

I'll be going him if Sandi isn't named round 1

I said never again but that bump really messed him up imo & I heard he had chronic knee pain?

Looking at last year the bump was huge for him but him revealing he had a knee issue made even ore sense: he barely got off the ground in the first 3 rounds and seemed content to just try and rove the taps from the opposing ruckman.

He's now fit, firing and from every report from teammates he's rearing to go.

However, the reality is we will more than likely be a bottom 4 team. Even if Stef is tearing it apart I can see a situation where we're forcing games into Archie via Stef being rested at forward simply because we're looking towards the future. Will be poison for Stef's SC game. There's a chance this doesn't impact you in the first half of the season but it could be seriously detrimental if you're carrying him in the last few rounds and banking on premo scores in the ruck and have no trades or cash.

I presently have him at R2 but I'm pretty hesitant. He's easily the best mobile ruck in the game but there's enough question marks to render him a questionable choice. If you do take him keep some cash in the bank in case you need to trade quickly. Should be safe for an upgrade to one of the top 2 rucks in the first half of the season.

The hit killed him last year. Instead of playing him at 50% and as a forward, they should have just given him a couple weeks off.

Mate I had him last year and he doesn't look like the gun he was the year before, with a new coach I can't see him improving.

It's the new coach that probably rated him from the outside that might play him as a sole ruck.
His SC days aren't over and Brisbane can't get any worse. I think.

I don't trust the new coach to see him play solo, which makes Stef score SC points like a beast.

Other talls will be used in that team quite willingly, coach has a free pass to do so as well.
Is a pass for me.
Gawn, goldie I think for me, I will take a risk at D3 instead.

I think you are right, with Sandilands injury it does seems like the more safer option to go with

I think Lobbe will definitely get a few games, so Ryder won't explode and go 95-105
85-95 for sure, anything over 90 is a big tick

F4-F6 sounds about right

If Lobbe plays ANY games I'll demand a new coach. Hopefully Ken has learnt that Lobbe and Ryder cannot coexist. If Ryder goes down, I would then play Trengove main ruck with Westhoff backing up (similar to how it was done last season)....But I'm not Ken.

I predicted last year he would struggle. Jacobs' biggest strength was finding Dangerfield at a stoppage at full burst. Expect similar scores....

Last year was a fail. Did the drop in midfield quality (ie. no more Danger) hurt his hitouts to advantage, or was it something else? I think I read that he had an interrupted preseason last year?

Word on the street is he's having a ripping preseason now. With the Crows midfield looking the same as last year (weaver even?), can he improve his score and go back to averaging 105+?

Was he effected by 3rd man up? The rule change should help as he's a gun 1on1 ruckman
