It was of a high standard from what I know, except for that final, where we lost a fair bit of trade value.

I'm more of a fan than most Pies. Decent tap, decent field kick for a big man.
I always thought he would take years, has shocking core strength. If he's worked on that & Rocket gives him first go, I'll back him in with Ryder as back up.

After going over old highlights and seeing some of his past scores, he might not be so bad after all.

Just need him to score 70+ a week and that would be a win.

If I was going to go a midprice R2, I'd look at Nankervis in the No.1 ruck role at Tigers.

With that being said I'm not planning on changing from Gawn & Grundy.

Let me reiterate, I hate him!
He is so slow, watching him waddle around when he played for us was so damn painful.
He is also terrible playing in the forward 50

but so is the great Sandilands, slow and terrible in the forward 50

So let's look at the facts..

1. Witts has never had a chance to play as the number 1 ruck, always had Grundy around
2. He is 24 yo, 210cm tall
3. He is a decent tap ruckman
4. The no 3rd man up rule helps him
5. He is having a great preseason, very fit
6. He averaged 72 and 73 in 2014 and 2015 sharing the ruck duties with Grundy

So, IF, just IF, he is going to play number 1 ruck at the Suns, he has every chance to average 80-95

Also, Eade is the Suns' coach.
He would have worked closely with Witts in 2013 and 2014 when he was at the Pies, so he knows what he's getting

At $220k, you simply can't put a line through him this early

2015 games played 18, avg 85.4, total 1537
2014 games played 20, avg 101.1, total 2022
2013 games played 17, avg 90.2, total 1533
2012 games played 15, avg 105.5, total 1582
2011 games played 22, avg 90.9, total 1999

With a year out the game, interchange reduction, is around 18-19 games with an average 90 realistic?

As long as he is the main ruck (no Lobbe etc) I think he'll go 90+ fairly comfortably.
Games played is harder to predict - he'll play as long as he's fit!
