Im just wondering whether its worth starting Ryder, to then trade him to whoever is the best R2, before his bye. But essentially starting someone with the intention to waste probably 2 trades doesnt seem logical.

He should be good enough for a F6 if he averages 85 or more and want cost you a trade if you start with him.

Liked Nankervis as a player. Don't think he is an amazing SC choice.

I dunno, most rucks just need to be a #1 solo ruck to average 90+. I think he can do that.

Unsure on his scoring consistency. Also dont rate hinkley as a coach, and wouldn't surprise me to see Lobbe in the 1s at some stage, which would make ryder a disaster.

Cheers guys, Ryder holds the key to my team balance, he's the differnce between a premo D3 or a breakout risk.

God I wish Sandi was fit, life was so much easier when he was locked at R2.

I'd like to apologize for the post I sent a few pages back about Lobbe being named 1 of the best in the intra club. It was a fact he was named on the club website and even though I joked that "I sent it to make Ryder a POD" it was certainly not true.
Lobbe is no good and surely will no longer be in calculation for round 1 or ever again as long as 2 of Ryder, Westhoff and Trengove are on the park.
With that fact in mind Ryder will now do almost all the rucking with Trengove providing a chop out. I actually liked Trengove up fwd last night, just loves to compete.
Don't hesitate picking Ryder as R2, F3, F4. He will be allowed to play his natural game with no other guy demanding more ruck time.
