Seeing his time with Sydney, he went from avg 42 to 75 in 2015/16. Obviously not getting many games, but that progress looked good, especially last year, he had 2 x 70 and 4 x 80+ in 7 games. I would guess his time in the middle wouldn't be too great with naismith really coming on.

I think with being the number 1 (maric is ******* wrecked), his Contested possession is right up there and I am really thinking this could be a decent pick. I am going to give him a chance.

Yep, he was cover for Tippett so he spent more time forward.
Ive bitten the bullet and bought him in for Heeney as F4, with Goldstein & Sandi at R1/R2.
My only concern is if they go with Hampson as R1.

Hampson is an utter ****ing spud. He's a girls dick.

Nanks will go R1 and Hampson will rotate between FF and CHBench

I agree on Hampson 110%, the problem is that he is a pretty good tap ruckman but he is useless up forward.

Nankervis is more than handy as a key forward but he is a slightly undersized ruckman. They only would want him in the middle more for his crash and bash bodywork around the stoppage ala Mumford.

The issue I see with Nank atm isn't a slight on him, it's that Ben Griffiths has been garbage in the praccy games so far, he could be the one to miss out, making Nank play CHF and Hampson as the #1 ruck, and yes while Hampson is useless around the field, he's a a pretty good tap ruckman so I could easily see this happening, I don't want it to happen. But I wouldn't be surprised one bit if it did.

Dimma loves Griff. I wouldn't be surprised to see all 3 of Hampson, Nank and Griff play with Griff playing as a perm CHF/FF

I can't see us doing that. If griffiths is fit he will play which means only 1 ruckman and thats nankervis. If griffiths gets injured its another story, but griffiths has a way better chance of playing well at CHF than nankervis does

I am still trying to understand the lure of going Sandi+Nank (cover) over Gawn/Goldy.

We thought they would be the best two last year, and they were. Why would they suddenly not be again this year? Way, way too risky.
