Goldy is underpriced based on what he can produce, Gawn not underpriced but can produce Goldy like numbers when Goldy is on song. Goldy played with a few niggles last year too.

My concern is that his time in the middle may be reduced. His scores come from him being a ruckmen with only minimal assistance to give him a break, if they start to push him forward a bit more or blood up some others to assist him more in the middle his output will suffer.

I don't think they'll be far removed from the setup they used last season. Yeh Preuss has looked pretty decent but has laboured really badly in second half of games, I don't think he has the tank for AFL footy yet.

Agree with that, Pruess isn't ready to run out a game yet, but the fact they were trialling him leads me to think they are looking for someone to aleviate the dependence on Goldy in the ruck.

His injury last year would have scared them a bit, if he goes down they are up shit creek, so having other options ready to go wouldn't be the stupidest move they ever made.

I prefer Goldy over Gawn purely based on the price, but the Nank/Sandi combo is very attractive if I could convince myself to take that risk.

2 huge scores were
vs Port against a defender
vs Suns against Nicholls

deceiving tweet imo, could have easily done that in Melbourne
Good point. Add to that his two lowest scores which occurred in consecutive weeks were at the MCG. Again could have happened interstate. Both scores quiet low to.

This happened only over a season ago:

I remember Sam Jacobs, Stef Martin, Sandi being a decent option that year as well.

2 years is a long time, remember when Ablett was a certain starter in your team. That wasnt that long ago.
I'm not claiming that he will go back to 129 ppg, just that he can certainly increase his average from 108 ppg this season given his pedigree.

Thats true, would expect him to get back over 110 ppg without much hassle.

Also 172 against Goldy interstate. Not sure how it's a deceiving tweet, he's stating a fact.

Edit: also 108 against Nicholls at MCG.

So we shouldn't take Gawn because he doesn't play interstate until round 8, so during rounds 1-7 he's going to score poorly
I know he's stating a fact, but I do not believe that Gawn simply performs better when he travels
