Very concerned about sandi.

If he doesn't get up I reckon I'll be maxxxy and Ryder and invest elsewhere. Then sit and watch which ruck demands my R2 spot as the year goes on, assuming that's not Ryder

Apart from goldy, who will compromise my team top much, there are too many unknowns in the rucks this year. And too much value elsewhere for that matter.

Shame on Sandi.
Maybe McEvoy worth a look?
Might see more ruck time again with Ceglar out and Vickery doing more the 'Hale role' (I guess).
Would be courageous.

i had him back a few years ago, when he first arrived at the Hawks. He was serviceable but you were only ever going to get 85-90 max out of him

Think you're right on his ceiling.

People wanting to run with Ryder in the rucks - happy to cop a donut during Round 9 as opposed to those with Ryder up forward and a starting benchy? Food for thought!
Too true. Really can't afford to cop a donut so early.

Going with Ryder or Sandi (If plays preseason) as they allow 5 mid premos and a beams/murphy swallow at m6 without compromising the other lines too much. Although did not consider the donut with Ryder. Really need to upgrade and swing Ryder forward by round 9, so Rucks would require one of the earlier upgrades. Also having Ryder means no cover if a premo ruck misses a week, so set and forget might be the way to go if Sandilands isnt ready, although the deeper midfield is tempting.
As Toxic said. CEY is the better option.
Contested beast
He is a 300k rookie imo. Hardly played any games. Elliott is a monty to play every week. Risky investment the pair. I had the best structure I have had for a while till Sandy went down.

True and it's certainly a consideration

But i would hope by round 9 that I can get a set and forget R2 in. I'd be using Ryder primarily as a stop gap measure until then as the other rucks show who is the best option.

Starting to cool off on Sandilands. Was hoping he would last to the byes but the injury just goes to show how much risk there is in taking him.

Have to lose one of my 6 premiums (Danger, Pendles, JPK (most likely), Treloar, Rocky, Fyfe) for Petrevski-Seton to allow the upgrade of Sandilands -> Goldy for now. Will splash the extra cash on the upgrade Ryder -> Macrae.

In the same boat and cant believe im considering Tom Boyd. 290k, showed great form towards the back end of last year and surely the grand final will be a massive confidence booster to really kick start his career ? Could easily be priced around 500k in 4 or 5 weeks into the season and ready to be used for an upgrade. Also has ruck DPP

There's more chance of Donald Trump hosting Hillary Clinton, Turnbull and a few Iranian refugees to dinner at the White House than there is of Tom Boyd being priced at 500k after 4 or 5 weeks of the season.

Yep.

Was stoked when Hawks came knocking :p

He was good around the ground though and always seemed to be able to offer that relieving mark around the ground and particularly in defence when he was a Saint. I was kinda surprised to see him end up so meh.

Hands like glue

Bit of a liability if you cant tap it to advantage

Yeah definitely not in the Buddy class.

Goldy would run out of trainers by round 9
