Really

Pies fwd line was dysfunctional on a good daywith those boys playing

Hawks are so mobile there is chalk and cheese comparison to the kangas
I'm not saying it's a good strategy, I'm just saying it's possible
Goldy is capable in the forward 50

Petrie was mobile

Daws a spud, experiment over
Preuss is a wrecking ball in a straight line, after that its queen mary style.

Fwiw i loved Preuss' aggression

Is Waite fit?
Mason Wood is also out for 8 weeks. another tall more similar to petrie.
I think Preuss is a massive chance. hes my r3 right now behind Gawn and ryder.
I also have cameron up front as a f/r.

Wasn't/Isn't Mason Wood a high half forward?

Sandilands completed Full hardcore training with the main group today according to the freo board

The Freo boys copped a flogging on the track apparently

You and Koshie need to unbunch your panties mate...:D:thumbsu:
watch us smash the Tigers this week lads!

I just can't commit to Ryder, I've set up my ruck rookies the same as you if Pruess is picked and if I'm bringing in Sandi.

that probably describes Brown and Waite too.

I don't have my green hat on this morning (a big hello to Edward de Bono if you're reading this):

Preuss:
(a) People are looking at going him at R3, e.g with Goldie, and assume he'd only get a lookin if Goldie were to miss?
(b) People are looking at him at R3, but are figuring he will play regularly and generate cash?
(c) People are looking at him at R2? Would be gutsy.
(d) something else?

b for me as I think i'd prefer my loop in the mids this year. Hard to find mid rookies this year. May as well run with one down.

R2 would be suicide

Agree, I'd only considered (a), might not be as simple as that, though.

My thinking changes every five minutes, to be honest.

I think if Sandi gets up for his next game and looks the goods it's going to be difficult to ignore him at his price. Risky as dipping your balls in hot wax though.

Given there apoears to be two possible "decent " R3s this seadon the risk is somewhat diminished

I'm not sure how decent they are, we've seen teams play a younger ruckman in tandem in preseason games before only for them to disappear until next preseason. Dan Currie comes to mind.
