Surely the set and forget ruck combo is Gawn & Grundy. Looking for value in the ruck is dicey to say the least.Grundy anyone? Finished the year really strong

No, the first 6-8 weeks would be ideal.I'm taking Sandi with the idea that if he doesn't get a major injury, he could easily play 20 games and if he's playing, he's going to average around 100
Even the first 6-8 weeks will do, not ideal, but it won't be the worst thing in the world.
ATM my rucks are sitting as Sandi and Nank. Preuss at R3.
The Nanklands combo has freed up cash for me to bolster other lines - defence in particular so should still be pumping out points. Have over $100K in the bank at the moment.
The plan is to upgrade Sandi or Nank at round 9 and assess whether to upgrade Nank or move him to the forward line during the bye rounds.
Just got to hope Sandi stays on the park.
I'm also very keen to have a good look at Lycett.
Seems like you've done the ol' 180 regarding SandiI'm taking Sandi with the idea that if he doesn't get a major injury, he could easily play 20 games and if he's playing, he's going to average around 100
Even the first 6-8 weeks will do, not ideal, but it won't be the worst thing in the world. He'll get close to $450k and we get a look at the rest of rucks. There's always a rookie who flies out of the blocks, then slows down and gets dropped, so an early upgrade/downgrade will be fine.
Nankervis/Ryder are my insurance if Sandi goes down very early. There won't be 110 averaging forwards this year, I think 90 will be fine for a forward premo, so taking them and having them sit at F6 averaging 80s won't be that bad.
100 average for 8 rounds will surely get his price over $450k!I wouldn't mind saying Sandi is a risk worth taking if he were a few years younger. For me he's just a ticking timebomb though.
Even to go traditional, 1 up, 1 down, you'd need Goldstein to drop 150k, a rookie to generate 150k within the timeframe that it takes Sandi to breakdown. (IF he breaks down!)
IF he averages 100 up until R8, he still wouldn't have gone up by 150k. That's being really optimistic as well.
Very tempted to start him, but I can see it ending badly.
The idea is to have your player at R3 (ruck bench) to have ruc/fwd status, and pick Nank in the forward line who can then be interchanged into the ruck line. People wanting to go with this set up are trying to get maximum value from both players who are potentially under-priced, and want the cover if Sandilands was to go down injured.Relatively SuperCoach newbie, I don't understand having Sandi at R2 and Nank as ruck coverage at F4/5...?
I'm starting with Gawn and Nank, can someone explain the purpose of this to me?
Initial reports was that he wouldn't play any JLT and possibly even be in doubt for Round 1; he ended up playing JLT 2 and I'm assuming will play JLT 3, so it was obviously a less severe injurySeems like you've done the ol' 180 regarding Sandi![]()
Constant 100 will see him pretty much smack on $450k! 80 against Goldy/Gawn and 120 against the rest will see his price around $475k after 8 rounds.100 average for 8 rounds will surely get his price over $450k!

Initial reports said it was a minor calf. Don't know where you read he'd miss JLT and possibly rd1.Initial reports was that he wouldn't play any JLT and possibly even be in doubt for Round 1; he ended up playing JLT 2 and I'm assuming will play JLT 3, so it was obviously a less severe injury
100% sure I read that he'd miss JLT, with a chance at playing JLT3Initial reports said it was a minor calf. Don't know where you read he'd miss JLT and possibly rd1.
Rucks are so bad that I'm already starting to play my team for 2018. I'll take NN at a bit over 400k, a 102k DPP rookie and The Mighty Nank at 750k.
I know 1.25mil is a bit much to pay for 3 players but I really just wanna set and forget.

I know nobody's mentioned him but how about Gawn. Just 470k - obviously a huge risk after his horror 2017 but could potentially go big. Yes I know Nanks the safe pick but Gawn could be worth a punt?
Nank at 750k is only an average of 150.
I think your underselling him a bit
