URGH, rucks are now doing my head in

dont want Witts at R3 as it is too much to be on the pine. but Gawn/Sandi have good starts to the year....
Are you looking for the $$$ save at R2 ....rookie ruck, best value, or set & forget?

The biggest reason I've got Witts at R2 is the lack of solid rookie options. He'll make a nice 150-200K at a 70-80 average by the time his bye rolls around, value for money

Actually it won't quite be that much. I looked it up on the tooserious calculator yesterday and averaging 80 he'll make more like 130K before his bye.

I'm still taking him FWIW.

Mate Nicolls will play its inevitable

Like I said go for it
im not so sure. Witts only has to last 8 rounds for those who are picking him. Witts will last the whole year barring injury.

Eade doesnt like Nicholls due to his lack of defensive efforts and he did a Motlop over the summer.

Pickett will get 40s and 50s most weeks

Witts should be getting 80s minimum as the number 1 ruck
Pickett showed he score 80 type scores just needs a few goals.

Witts will have competition from Nicolls/Currie

Said the Gold Coast board

Wait until the real stuff starts mate, then we'll see :)

yep i know that, but that isnt what i said. I said 40s and 50s MOST WEEKS

every player has competition for their spot in the 22... whats your point? If Witts plays well, no chance Nicholls comes back in

Whatever helps your argument mate, I'm just thinking of pure GnR, rookies will show they always do

Kadog agrees with me :)

Since the Gawn of time, in the Sandilands of the Supercoach wasteland a new rule was made which would change the game of Supercoach for years to come...

That rule was to be known as the no third man up rule.

A delightful proposition for coaches who wanted a proven tap ruckman who averages like a SP midfielder,
but also craved a little value in the form of a hit out to advantage colossus who was heavily discounted after nursing his injuries and returning to the battlefield.

GAWNILANDS has been and will always be the ruck strategy sent from the Gods.

In a year of such ruck uncertainty, coaches flocked far and wide looking for anwsers when the one and only true anwser was the no third man up rule lovingly handed to us by our Supercoach overlords.
A recipe of +5's and the key to unlocking a teams ruck scoring potential but alas this was not a dream but happening in front of us in real life.

Months past and GAWNILANDS ownership faultered.
This upset the SC Gods greatly. So the Gods set apon putting coaches on the right path.
First they struck down Goldylocks, then the Mummy. Grundy was next and even through tears of laughter they decided to split the webbing on Witts hand.

But this wasn't enough and although GAWNILANDS ownership was increasing the word on BF was one of uncertainty and madness.
Witts at R2 they said. Goldy > Gawn.
Nankervis is the answer, he's played 11 games he must be sent by the Gods to rescue our teams.

This only upset the Gods further so they decided to test the resolve of only the best coaches.
They decided to scare the Witts out of everyone and gave Sandi a dose of old mans injury.

Some coaches jumped off, others looked for cover.
But still a few brave souls stayed on.
Supported by their massive stones and rock hard manhood they would go on to pave the way, the way that the Gods intended and those brave coaches they locked away GAWNILANDS and threw away the key.

The Supercoach Gods then sent a message to the masses, it was to be read out by all GAWNILANDS owners to the non believers.
It read...

May the Supercoach Gods have mercy on your soul if you don't start with these two manly specimens and may you and your teams forever rest in peace.
We have given you the key to the 50k.
Use it swiftly and destroy it or we will send our vengeance apon your team and all that dare rebel against us.

Your correct ....but Sandilands at $90K more will score more, and at the end of the day it's all about scoring points

No use having players appreciating in value, if you're so far behind everyone else

You're assuming he'll have the job security at GC that he couldn't get at Collingwood, where they weren't flushed for ruckman ? ......just a huge trap

The difference between Gawn and witts, is like 420K. So whilst you might be 40 points a week worse off in your rucks(80 vs 120), that extra 420K allows for another forward or defensive premium, Where you should be able to make up the difference.

Have you factored in having the (C) on Gawn? .......and whilst he may average120, Gawn can pump out 150+ scores that Witts can't

Isn't is a SC guide that when selecting sides, you factor in potential captain players that can go big? ......Dangerfield, Gawn, Shaw

With Pickett's role up forward, can confirm he'll average around 50 most weeks. His score will be reliant on goals and DE, as his possession count won't be massive.
