155k is a little pricey for that uncertainty, would rather a loophole option which can potentially add 30-50 pts onto my score each week.

Considering the amount of people talking about Witts, I would say Simpson could be a similar option at 50K cheaper.

Dawson won't get a look in unless Mummy gets injured

Mummy is fit and is number 1 ruck, Lobb playing 2nd ruck/fwd

Witts has job security for at least the first few games of the year
Simpson will only play if Mummy gets injured

Yeah your probably right, Simpson is a true ruckman, so he isn't going to be rested up forward or anything.

But the chances of Mummy going down are always something to consider.

Is anyone seriously considering a Nank / Sandi / Stranadica combo?'

Its making a lot of sense to me as the extra $260k will come in very handy accross the field...

I am, but with a better bench option.

Cant tell anyone to go against having Goldy or Gawn, but I cant decide.

Will wait up until the last moment, have the extra cash in the kittyu to bring in Goldy if needed, but will decide last minute if thats better spent elsewhere.

Why are people getting on ryder? He averaged 85 in 2015 and has had a year off. Surely he wont average 90+?

Good chance he will be the number 1 ruck, Lobbe hasn't really lived up to his potential from a few years back.

Lobbe played 17 games in 2015, that's why Ryder only averaged 85
Lobbe couldn't get a game last year when Port was playing a defender as the number 1 ruck

Ryder will ruck 90% with Trengove chipping in for 10%

90+ imminent imo (could go ~100 easily)

I haven't as yet, but agree that it makes sense due to some uncertainty on all 3-5 premium rucks.

I just can't do it though. It doesn't look right!

its still a super awkward price for a speculative pick, even if he does average 90-100.

Ryder will be a great pick for anyone who selects him. He'd be in my side if it wasn't for Nankervis being in the forward line. Can't pick Ryder as a ruck as I believe he'll be a waste there - won't score enough to be a top 3 ruckmen and he's not there to make money.

So Put Nankervis R1 and Ryder forward..

This is the year to roll the dice with Rucks, it's a god damn raffle who will perform.

Gawn - Spencer potentially stealing points
Goldy - Not 100%
Mumford - Injury prone
Grundy - Will Pies win enough games
Stef - Archie Smith Lurking
Jacobs - Space Jam aliens stole his talent

Great year to start cheap and see what the rucks do and get your points with a deeper midfield.

I'm going cheap in the rucks - Sandi R1 and Witts R2. Nankervis gains his value from being cover for these guys by being able to switch with Strndica, so playing him ruck is a waste. I've got Kennedy, Dahlhaus, Macrae and Lynch up forward - I really don't want to part with any of these 4, so there's no space for Ryder.

I'm actually seriously considering going Cameron at R2, but who knows whether I'll have the balls to do it.

Cameron at R2 would take a fair set of Brass ones!..

This currently my Ruck set up at the moment
Hoping both Sandi and Witts make it to their byes. The plan will be to downgrade Witts and upgrade Sandi to the best performing Ruck
Seems simple enough, What could possibly go wrong
Gawn cuts his beard and loses his magical powers. Sandilands remembers he's 34 and does his calf again. Witts splits his webbing again. All in the first 2 rounds.

Probably the first and last time anyone will ever ask this but I don't have access to a computer to find out for a while...

What was Naismiths TOG% in JLT3. He scored 52, but what his was TOG?

Cameron scoring 39 from 42%, and if Cameron gets the nod this week, perhaps he's over taken Naismith as number 1 ruck and it's his spot to lose.

Any insight from Sydney fans would be helpful too

Have changed a million times but this combo gives me stacks of $$ for elsewhere.

Sticking with it and rolling the dice in what is the most risky season for rucks ever, going for value with no forward cover and i need a Whiskey right now!!!

I've been tempted by Kreuzer before, it wont end well. Your playing this too close to the heart, just let him go, he will never be what you want him to be.

Witts will be the best performing ruck. that'll **** your plan :D
