I find the animosity towards Pearce amongst Blues fans hard to credit. I assume it's a result of his perceived failings in previous SoO games. Or is it off-field misdemeanors?

My point of view (and I'll bet if you asked 100 rugby league fans in England, or, indeed, anywhere outside NSW, they'd mostly agree) is that Pearce is twice the half that Reynolds is. Reynolds has a decent (but not remarkable) kicking game, but not much else.

Hard to credit? Pearce has played 15 origins for 4 wins. His papers should be stamped. He's had the equivalent of 5 origin series to prove himself and he never has. He might be a good club halfback but that's where it ends.

Reynolds has more than just a good kicking game.

Well we'll have to agree to differ; I can't see that Reynolds will offer more.

Who's your other half? Still Maloney?

I would play adam reynolds at half
or jimmy maloney at half with either hayne or moylan at 5/8

Pearce is definately a no go. but as he hasnt had a crack at a dog this year he will get another run.

i watched Reynolds earlier for the Rabbitohs. Jeez, is he really the guy you think is going to bring it round for you? And anyway, didn't
he go off injured (I haven't seen any news; don't know how serious it was)?

Gallen's record is not much better. Nor is Farah's. Nor is any consistent face in the Blues side over the last decade.

Same old story.

Queensland selectors pick their side on merrit.

Politics heavily stifles NSW selection.

James Roberts very unfortunate to grow up in NSW. Far from the only one.

As a person who has lived in Sydney for two years and has never visited Queensland go Maroons.

You'll notice that Farah wasn't given a spot this time around though (nor was Gallen obviously). Your point is entirely valid - and exactly why I wish they'd stop picking the same guy who can't get it done.
