Not sure to be honest, but talk of a first rounder on your board is wishful thinking in the extreme. Compare Hill and Mitchell and what they fetched in a trade last year and what they had shown up to that point. Then compare that to Impey. At a guess he is worth anywhere between 25-40 but I would guess Port would consider themselves in their window so may push for a player instead
If we are all honest, A mid second round pick should suffice for Impey. I suspect we will drive a hard bargain but realise that he is really worth no more than that.

Port is interested in O’Brien apparently, fair trade? Or is he highly rated and no chance

Good luck to Jarman. As many have said, I hope we get a 2nd round pick.

As our 2nd round draft pick 5 years ago, he was my big 'improver' for last year, and again this year but he just hasn't hit that next level. 10 possessions in our final says it all. Working under Clarkson may be just what he needs and he's probably done the best thing for his footy career. Not to mention he can remain close to his best mate.

One thing I will not miss is the amount of melting from Port supporters over whether he should be picked, dropped, not dropped etc.

Will miss his speed. We'd better bloody get Motlop.

The Hawks do not trade out decent players - we need to go for a future 2nd rounder.
Bullshit. Theyre no different to any other team. After all they did bring in Tyrone last year. Imp for O'Brien is about as fair as it gets given they are both contracted.

Scared to ask but how do you think the trade will finish, not necessarily what you think he's worth?
No doubt you'll get less than what you want and we will give more than what we want for him. 32 seems about right to me as a Hawks supporter. While the consensus on here seems to be an earlier second rounder. So if you split the difference you're looking at 32 and a swap of late picks taking Port up a few spots. Out of interest would a straight swap of Impey for Schoenmakers work for Port? He's a South Australian boy.

I know it was coming but it somewhat hits me.

Gifted AFL games in the past 2 years, pathetic season as per B&F results, absolutely disgraceful attitude in the finals.

Wants to go home, that's fine and all but the icing on the cake for me is that he nominates a club to go to as a contracted player. **** that shit man.

I love it when Rucci trolls the crows fans, now he saying the Crows are gonna give Motlop the godfather offer with the knowledge that he's most probably gonna choose Port so the follow-up article will be how bad the culture is down at the crows that they couldnt even convince Motlop with all the tea in China, and if Motlop does happen to choose the Crows the follow-up article will be how they could offer a huge contract to Motlop but let Lever go because of money. Its a win win or Rucci either way, its bound to trigger that lot into a frenzy

And I am starting to think Trengove is less than an angel in all this.
You say that like the club didn't intend this outcome right from the start. We wanted to offload both, and simply played the public "required player" bulldust every club does.
