So Motlop must decide by Sunday but Watts we have until next week to get.

I still think Motlop is waiting on Watts so that Geelong can’t trade the compo pick. Geelong may be calling the bluff knowing what’s happening , waiting to get the compo then swooping back into the race again for Watts.

I'm sure Motlop wants to come to Port - the sticking point until now has probably been the $. The club's just freed up $400k in trading Impey, according to people in the know here. It could be why Motlop hasn't publicly declared Port as his club of choice. Waiting for confirmation of Impey's trade so that his contract $ can be sorted once and for all.

I can understand why it's taken so long.

Is it just me or are we shedding a lot of players at the moment?

So far we've lost Krakouer, Monfries, Trengove and Impey with Young, Lobbe and Ah Chee heavily rumoured to be following them out the door. That is before any delistings.

In return we've got Rockliff and the possibility of Watts and/or Motlop.

And we've got no first round picks in what is supposedly a shallow draft. I hope Costanza knows what's he's doing here.
You ever look at your clothes in the wardrobe and think I'm never going to wear that so time to throw it out.
Once you start you can't stop and at the end of the day the wardrobe looks a bit bare but at least what's left has some purpose.
We have been hanging onto a lot of players we don't need for to long.
