Lobbe bobbing up in trade discussions.

Interest from Brisbane according to Barrett.
If Lobbe is on $400k base + $100k match payments and incentives and they agree to take up $200k of his base then we should take their pick 120 and offer up a fringe player as well to go up there with Lobbe.

If as dickhead Denham said in his article in June, that Lobbe is on $700k, which would probably be $500-$550k and incentives would be $150-$200k then same deal if they pay $300k of his base.

Can suck it!
Have heard you guys may be interested in Duryea as a FA. Wanted to see what Port fans had to say about this?
That was reported early in the year. I think as the season played out our list management team decided we were closer to a flag then previously thought and are looking to top up rather than just add depth - hence Rockliff and Watts.

I doubt there is still any interest in Duryea.

Guys please take it a bit easier on OUR players even if they may be traded out

Lobbe is a fantastic guy that my missus has done a lot of work with outside of footy (and no, not that kind of work ;))

He loves Port and doesn't want to go anywhere but understands the realities of a player in his position

Let's not turn into that mob down the road
No one doubts Lobbe's passion for the club and being a good citizen but he lucked out and we gave him a fantastic long term contract and he cant deliver what we expect him to do. Reality bites you hard on the arse some times, but 3 years of a decent pay cheque and decent one for 2 more years however the deal with a new club shares it, helps soften the blow.

His name has bobbed up a couple of times now. His bio says he's a playmaking half back with a penetrating and accurate kick. As a Hawks supporter what are your thoughts?
Got great kicking skills. Does a lock down job solidly. Nothing outstanding about him. Goes hard at it. Was trialled as a defensive small forward a bit this year when Rioli& Puopolo were both injured. Did solidly.

Nah we've been stooged by Hawks way too many times now. No more.
The Hawks reportedly offered us at least one 1st rounder and another pick for Toby Thurstans hot off his 3 goal 2004 grand final, and we said "no thanks". The Hawks haven't stooged us, we've stooged ourselves.

Was that the Lewis or Franklin pick? Hmmm

They had priority pick 2 used on Roughie, Pick 5 as 1st round pick used on Franklin because they knew Richmond would take Roughie at 4 but not Franklin and they traded in pick 7 and used it to get Lewis.

The Hawks traded out Nathan Thompson for pick 10 + 26 to North and then with Collingwood
traded out pick 10 + 37 for pick 7 + Bo Dixon (who was a dub drafted in 2002 and played 3 games for pies and 1 for Hawks). They then use 7 to Lewis.

They wouldn't have given us pick 2 or 5 for Thurstans given Buckenarra and co had been watching Roughie and Franklin for most of the year. They might have given us pick 10 they got from North, for Thurstans, but probably wanted other picks swapped around. So if Collingwood keep pick 7 who knows where Lewis would have gone.

Agreed and we stooged ourselves again when we knocked back Kennedy and another very handy player, who from memory also played in the swans winning gf team as trades for Sean Burgoyne, but we ( Choco ) were fixated on that silly campaigner Brown. :(

Nobody will be wishing injury on Lobbe like crows fans do on their players. More-so wishing him luck if he goes to another club.
