I reckon the points value is clearly in favour of the Eagles (assuming they finish roughly 8th?). Thought the AFL won't sign off on those type of things?

Wow, the Suns were able to get the Eagles 2018 first off them. Would absolutely jump at that for Weller if I was Freo. I'd almost be getting in touch about our #12 and/or #18 if not. Think the Eagles will have quite a drop off next year - could well end up a top 5 pick in what's tipped to be a much stronger draft.

Really interesting deal. Suspect the Eagles are headed towards the bottom 6 next year. Big call.

Media reports are suggesitng a possible three way deal between Essendon / Adelaide / Brisbane

Not sure how it would work, although a very rough idea might be

Brisbane: #9, Cameron and #30 (from the Stringer Deal) for matching Ballenden bid.
Adelaide: #18 and Francis?
Essendon: Schache and #20

Or there could be future picks in there somewhere.

They would want to finish high cos if they drop off that pick could be low as 5

There won’t be any first round picks involved in this. It will be a player swap and some vaso.

I think there's some clubs that rate the draft tip 30 & others that don't therefore points system prob isn't the best way to evaluate trades for next year.

Personally I think top 12 this draft is good but then not a lot there will be good players but will be some busts as well.

Whoever ends up with that WC pick will be very happy I reckon

Doubt they'd do that. Perhaps 1, 12, 18 for their 3, 10, 16, 40.
