we did get back pick 28 though....which we used on Callum Bartlett (Gunston and Christensen went after that pick....anyway)

been said enough already, was a horrible trade for a player a club was trying to move on, will unlikely see anyone paying a ridiculous amount for someone Stringer on the market this year

Had some hope Bartlett would be a decent player as he was highly rated pre injury - think he did a knee pre draft. But sadly he fizzled out

yeap did a knee pre draft otherwise could have been a top 5 pick.

did his knee again post draft and then just had lots of little issues kill his career, had good skills though

we've generally run the gauntlet on players like that post 2nd round, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't

Skinner is an example of a player with similar trajectory to Barts except he has played a game, lets hope he does turn out to be a success

Schache is contracted for two more years, we're not "over a barrel". If we don't like the trade no deal. I agree that Richmond's 2017 / 2018 first round picks would be the minimum. Perhaps a talented fringe player like Ben Lennon as steak knives.

I agree with you that we won't play hardball if it turns out that Schache requests a trade. But I believe we will expect a fair trade for a 20 year old KPF who is contracted for another 2 years, and in my opinion a fair trade is top 10 as a minimum. This is going to be groundhog day until trade week is over. Opposition supporters say he's only worth a late first bla bla, had an average second year, but strangely seem really really really keen to get him. Same as you though, hope post trade period all the rumours turn out to be just that, rumours & he has a belter of 2018 with us.

fair point..even the journos with vested interests (read mick warner - tiger's man) stated on AFL superfooty podcast and on the couch that he is not sure if tigers should get schache or should pay too mch for him

Yeah, yeah I know why would we believe such a rumour but after hearing Hodge's manager the other day and then the odd rumour about Hodge coming here I don't think it's out of the realms of possibility given his relationship with Fages.

Whether that's in a playing or coaching capacity as his manager said is yet to be seen I guess.
