1 6 and 12 is a good outcome, but if we have cameron hodge ballenden and payne coming in (maybe not but assuming) i dont think we will have the list spots for another 3 picks. id take 1 and 6 to the draft and get 2 top end mids and try trade 12 into a first round pick next year.

well a few blokes haven't been given marching orders yet that still could. Close and Beams for example. I think pick 12 this year could be perfectly placed for a slider.

Trade 12 for Richmonds 2018 first round pick, should be back to average next year.

I reckon that the Lions should look at future picks again this year. Find a club who think they're on the up, and trade Schache for their 2018 first rounder. Superdraft is good for us. Any club optimistic about their future would view it as good for them. Probably another situation where if they miss the finals, a top 10 pick for us is as good as we'll get. Reckon Collingwood wouldn't part with pick 6, but would probably trade 2018 R1 thinking it'd be 11-14.

Plus, I really loved having a team to death-ride this year. I had twice as many games to interest me during the year.

Obvious clubs to consider include Collingwood, Western Bulldogs, Essendon, St Kilda, Hawthorn. North and Carlton probably too, but I can't see them overestimating that they'll make the top 8 next year.

You can't make this shit up:rolleyes:, just on trade radio.

Terry "gargantuan flog" Wallace keeps saying the Lions need to give up pick 12 for Charlie Cameron, an absolute idiot.

But wait suddenly a new contender emerges, Damian "imbecile" Barrett saying Schache is worth a late 20s early 30s pick.
I can't listen to their shit aye.

SEN Was going ok til Mark Allen starts talking bout Schache trade and repeatedly drops the words "Eric Hipworth"

In what context? Along the lines of Schache is not as important due to the presence of Eric Hipwood or along the lines of We should trade for Eric Hipwood instead or Josh Schache *and* Eric Hipwood for pick 29?

Couldn't find a good enough thread for this as he's a local and there's no way he'll be part of any trade; but Ben Keays - what's the story there? He's been one of the best NEAFL performers and somehow he seems to be on the outer at Brisbane. Why doesn't he get a solid run at it?
What, because a second year player didnt play 23 games for the year, he's on the outer? You guys speak some rubbish.

St Kilda surely would have to be open to discussion at the very least, what with two top 10 picks to burn and Riewoldt gone. Perhaps the second of their top 10 picks straight swap for Schache - I'd do that in a heartbeat. We still keep 12 & 18, plus whatever compo picks come in for Rocky - leaves us in a good position to package picks up and move further up the draft yet again and/or cover Cameron/Ballenden.

Only other clubs even in the Schache discussion should be North or Collingwood, given their suitability and likelihood they will have their picks up for trade.
