The whole Hogan going back to W.A is so over posted
He doesn't want to go back home now that his father passed away
He feels at home with the boys and the club
The Hogan think is seriously going to be a yearly thing no matter what happens isn't it? Much like there was with Pav and returning to Adelaide.. Bloody silly season is off its rocker

Well despite that little article on Chanel 7 tonight, I am told that Watts won't be traded by the Dees this year.
Decent source or typical everyone has an opinion at this time of year? I'd honestly be amazed if we traded him now after how many shit seasons he had and has finally produced some very good footy

Even if he signs a 10 year contract

McKenzie can barely get a game at GC - that being said he was decent when they did finally decide to bring him in once their season was cooked. Can't really see him replacing anyone in particular in our side though - save for the lack of a reliable lock down KPD our back 6 is the most well settled part of our lineup.

I'd bring him in as an option for the wing. Wouldn't guarantee him a game or anything but why couldn't he narrow his focus like Melksham

Decent source.

Decent enough that I'm very confident that there'll be a lot of smoke and mirrors leading into the trade period, but at the end of it Jack Watts will be a Demon.

Looking at the Tigers game Watts needs to come back and do one thing. Learn how to tackle. Whatever it takes he needs to buy into the defensive side of the game. The fact that a skinny weid is already more trust worthy defensively is a disgrace.

Watch the Tigers. Jack Watts wouldn't get a game for them despite the fact that he has the talent.

schmuttt watched the VFL GF. Must say Lloyds ball use was beautiful as was mascitti from PM. Not sure we can afford to carry another bloke who doesn't tackle and pressure and set up around stoppages properly though

Mascitti from Port looks a beautiful kick out of defence I wonder what's held him back.

I watched it too - Lloyd was terrific. Do you think he could be a full-time mid at AFL level? Or is he more of a JKH who dominates in the middle in the VFL but battles do do much at senior level?

The problem seems to be his defensive work at AFL level because I can't see how he isn't a much better player than Broad/Butler/Castagna and some other bottom 5 list players at the Tigers.
Seems to be more of a forward as well.

Shai Bolton is another bloody good young player, Richmond have grabbed every talented small forward in the country it seems.

Ironically I think Jack Watts best pressure game was against the tigers when he was as skinny as weid. Though there is only one highlight in this video I remembered Watts laying a few tackles on this day.

Goody was asked about Watts and Hogan on RSN this morning, in typical Goody fashion he didn't give away a whole lot but he seemed pissed with the Hogan rumours yet was pretty non-committal on Watts.

Yeah told you Lloyd can play, he'd play every game at a lower ranked club. I think he is 'potentially' better than a few of our guys that play forward but he's a risk because he isn't young and defensive efforts at AFL level are poor.
