Nar, Hogan is staying and Dees just want to bring in more firepower. The amount of left over cash they have is pretty remarkable
Interesting. Those 2 together would be incredible but surely you are paying the world in draft picks to get him or are you suggesting free agency next year

Hogan, McDonald, Watts, Weideman already on our list. Everything I've seen from McDonald makes me want to keep him forward.

Watts is down on form and Weideman is unproven, but we have a good number of tall forward options. I imagine we'll delist Hulett and look for another tall later in the draft this year.

Would prefer more thrown at Lever.

I'm pretty sure he'll be a Restricted Free Agent at the end of next year yeah. So very likely he'd still need to be traded for ... particularly given him, May and Ablett are the only one's who be on big money there, with Ablett likely gone in 3 weeks anyway, so I doubt they wouldn't be able to match anything we pay him.

Lynch would be amazing, especially in tandem with Hogan. In fact, I can't think of many better KPFs who would work so well as a pairing with Jesse.

Would put a huge amount of pressure on the Weid though!
Not sure we'd be able to keep Weid on the list, he'd have to be used in some way in order to satisfy GC...maybe Collingwood would be interested in giving up something tasty.

Serious question - do Collingwood have anything tasty left to give up? Haven't they traded away most of their draft picks recently?

Lynch would be an awesome get but it'd mean something bad to give regarding our other KPPs. One of Weid/Watts/Frost/Omac would have to leave us.

I wouldnt be surpised if Dees trade for a young forward and defender out of W.A and try and lure one of the gold coast stars to Melbourne

*Sadly dont have names at this point*
*frantically starts going through every listed player at WCE/Freo/GC*

Is this the point people start posting riddles for us to solve, and it generally turns out to be a wild goose chase?
VD is Def in an around the club so he probably has a good word.

From a quick look at Freo and West Coast's lists, these are the key position-ish sized players formally from Victoria
Freo
Matt Taberner - FWD
Alex Pearce - DEF
Michael Apeness - FWD/Ruck
Sam Collins - DEF
Eagles
Tom Lamb - FWD

I'd take Pearce and/or Collins.

All clubs would be looking at all players. Lynch isn't going anywhere. I'm not sure we would draft in the Weid a year or so ago as a top 10 pick and then go chase Lynch who is virtually unobtainable.

I'm guessing the rumours in regards to Lever are true. I'm guessing we've been in his ear for awhile now. But the chances of him coming are still remote IMO. Besides, surely our list managers realise we need outside mids with class. I'd prefer 2 B Grade players of that ilk, compared to 1 of Lever.

Gaff would be a good get. Can rack up 30 mostly damaging touches a week. Would have to give a first for him though.
Give me Gaff and Whitfield and that would just about complete our list. Of course would be incredibly difficult to do, but supposedly we have $$$ and trade value with players and also our first round picks this year and next. I know we've been playing it quiet leading up to trade period, but I seriously hope the club has seen we need outside class and I hope they do what they can to bring it into what is now an appealing club to play for.
