All clubs would be looking at all players. Lynch isn't going anywhere. I'm not sure we would draft in the Weid a year or so ago as a top 10 pick and then go chase Lynch who is virtually unobtainable.

I'm guessing the rumours in regards to Lever are true. I'm guessing we've been in his ear for awhile now. But the chances of him coming are still remote IMO. Besides, surely our list managers realise we need outside mids with class. I'd prefer 2 B Grade players of that ilk, compared to 1 of Lever.
Why?

He's captain of the Suns. Would be a massive call for him to bail out on them. I reckon we will be landing Balic though from the Shockers. Maybe for a second round pick. Or send Kent home for a straight swap.
So? Captains have left clubs before and that club is on it's knees- couldn't really blame anyone for wanting to jump ship or come home.

What is Balic worth? was pick 38 a few years ago, would be keen to get him.
He was seen as a top 10 pick in his draft year before shattering his wrist. Came back, tore it up for Peel in the WAFL then impressed in his handful of games for Fremantle.
Comparisons to Pendlebury are on the money (both outstanding state basketballers). Problem is his mental health, not unlike Chris Yarran.

So anywhere between pick 5 and will not play again.

Sure but surely there's a limit to the amount of players that want to play for that basket case?
Of course I know who I'd rather play for, but they would be more desperate for a tall forward than us. Of course if Lynch amazingly became available, we'd be silly not to try and get him, but I think we're better off looking for gettable outside runners and good users of the footy.

He went at pick #38 originally and wants to come back to Victoria. He's played only 4 AFL games in two seasons. Little chance anyone gives up a first rounder for him I'd think.

Pretty sure he was taking the piss mate.
They would probably be happy with something around draft value

Sorry, should have mentioned that early in his draft year he was touted as a possible top 5 pick. Then he slid after he smashed his wrist dunking a basketball.
A stupid injury playing basketball? He's our kind of player

I've noticed that the top end of the draft this year seems full of talls. Pick 5-14 in Knightmare's draft rankings are all tall key position players or rucks. The type of player we don't really need, or need ready-made.
