Been told not to rule out the Hawks. Havent heard the saints mentioned at all, but im not that much in the know tbh.

If he comes back to Vic, which my source said is highly likely (due to the offer from the crows being $300k less and less years) it is Melbourne or Hawthorn in the main spots.

Also said dont rule out staying at the crows. He has only cancelled his regular spot on Adelaide radio due to the fact it is going to be a media/pr circus which doesnt help anyone.

Would love to know what the hell Hawthorn are going to give up to get him given they sold all their trade currency last year for Jaeger.

No 2017 1st.
First pick probably is at 34.
No real players available that Adelaide would want i.e. midfielders.

The only thing is if the Hawks get in on the Gibbs deal, but the same problem is going to present itself in terms of giving value to Carlton for Gibbs.

Well they have a 2018 first round pick which at this stage looks like being more attractive than melbourne's pick. They have several south australians on their list in Burton, Pupolo, Schoenmakers and O'Brien. I don't see how they have much less to trade than what melbourne has.

None of those players carry any currency except Burton and theres no way they trade him.

Schoenmakers and Puopolo have no value, Burton is just about leading their B&F and will probably win the Rising Star and TOB isn't all that great. What's more, none of them are what the Crows need, which is midfielders.

Because it would take a first and Burton to get Lever roughly. The other 3 are steak knives at best. If they give away another future first with this year's that will be no picks for 4 years in the first round. They already have a shit midfield that would just cripple them further.

Totally agree. But unfortunately the hawks know how to get deals done even via a 3rd party

I don't disagree with that last comment. I really don't think Lever should be a priority for hawthorn I was just answering the question that they have nothing to trade. Their trade position is not significantly worse than that of melbourne, if you factor in they may have a better pick in the 2018 draft.

I disagree that O'Brien, Schoenmakers and Pupolo have no value; even your club gave up picks in the early second round for Melksham and Dawes.

Puopolo is 29, he has a few years left at best.

Also not sure if you have watched Melksham over the past 6 weeks? Worth the second rounder we gave up.

Dawes, yeah i will give you that.

Can the hawks just go quietly into the night... Spend some time in the wilderness like the rest of us
The fall isn't over despite the last eight weeks. Hodge and Burgoyne have been critical. Losing the Good Bloke will have massive ramifications for their defence and play setup. You don't learn that overnight.

Schoey is FA, they won't trade TOB because he's worth more to them to keep than on the trade table and they just aren't going to trade Burton lol.

Dawes was the recipient of the "Melbourne aren't very good but have to pay 92% of the cap" award, stacking his pension fund in exchange for being the great white goalkicking hope throughout the Great Deepression.

Hawks don't have much in the cupboard to trade. Their older B grade brigade are the cherry on top, which Adelaie might be interested in but sure as hell aren't giving up aything more than a 3rd for.

That puts me at ease a little then. Sometimes you read about these people with sources and think surely they can't all be crazy people making things up.
No. That one is definitely a crazy. There are a few characters on BigFooty that their entire reason for posting is to pretend inside knowledge. He is one of them.

I'm not certain what people get out of that, but they do exist. It reminds me of a kid in my class in year 5 who was absolutely determined for people to believe that his dad was John Farnham. Weird on many levels.
