And we all know that gen Y/ Z Is the generation of entitlement. Surely they know much more than silly old farts whose years of experience has predijuced their judgment . The arrogance of the young with the entitlement of the selfish generation, You epitomise that Tom.
Can you all get over yourselves? Our culture has become to be self-entitled, every one of us epitomises it.

^^ I'm certainly not one to write off a kid after a couple of min video.....but disposal efficiency in that game must've been under 20%
Not writing him off by any means. I really like him a lot. But it certainly has to be a consideration for recruitment if that game is not an aberration.

Fully Support what liam123 suggested. Would someone make a thread where we make our draft selections each year with a separate accompanying thread to discuss ? Is that possible ?
It would work so long as only those who put their arse on the line by listing who they'd choose in the draft could comment and pass judgement on others who did the same. Otherwise, It would be a shit show of those who don't post their list of who they want in the draft using hindsight to discredit certain posters they generally don't like or agree with... which I've seen occur on this board previously.

I like the look of him otherwise and am working with a limited data set but looking at the below vid, dont try to tell me that kicking is anywhere near good...

Does he have a seriously weak leg or what? Poor ball speed, high trajectory and very little penetration.

What about posters who openly admit to knowing next to nothing about draftees? They wouldn't be able to hang shit on the posters who profess to be the suppository of all wisdom but actually know just as little?

Talk shit campaigner.

People acting like he kicks like Mcginnity going by that, which is probably his worst game by foot and he was still one of the allies best players.

Christ I'd love to know what you experts think of Worpel if that's what you're complaining about in Baileys game.

Let's ignore the line breaking, drawing of tacklers, acceleration from stoppages, weaving through traffic and clearance work for what... couple shots on goal and a couple poorly executed field kicks. Go watch his other videos, or better yet, a full game.

His kicking is fine. I'll **** up anyone who says otherwise. Not targeted specifically at you Eastern Rangers

Exactly. Play the best group together from the start to give them that experience together. Do we really want Le Cras and Cripps v. 2017 running around just because they know each other's games?

Besides, it's not rocket science. If a forward coach can't teach a game plan (which would change over summer) to a group of professional footy players then they're in struggle town.
How do you determine the 'best group' when the likes of Rioli, Venables and Higgins if we did land him have all played a combined total of zero games?

At the beginning of the season I would start with a forward line of:

Cripps Kennedy Le cras
(Ah chee / Sheed) Darling (Venables / Redden)

Interchange: Rioli

Over the season others get their chances.

By the end of the season I can see

Cripps Kennedy Rioli
(Ah chee / Sheed) Darling (Venables / Redden)

Interchange: Higgins

But you don't throw Rioli, Venables and Higgins in there all at once.

I'm praying we draft him, he looks like he'll be a gun. They watch one vid and make that assessment. Watch his other vids people as he's a great kick.

I seriously don’t think he put one kick on target, and got caught HTB at least once, maybe twice if the video kept rolling

Also i want to put it out there, i was heavily against drafting lamb before the draft, was heavily against it after the draft and am still heavily against it. The player i would have taken and talked up hasn't done a lot since but i still hold hopes. Connor Menadue. At this stage i think the concern is over his production. If he was averaging 1 goal a game and 15 disposals he'd probably be a premiership player now.

There is a lot of talk about Clark going early now. Before pick 10. We might have to forget about him and hope for Higgins. We might have to start considering Constable again, or go early for O'brien.

That's for the people like me, who don't want Allen at pick 13.

Have honestly been happy with our recruiting over the last 6 or so years (didn't really follow the draft before then). Most people on here seemed to be relatively happy with our selections also right after the drafts.

Completely different kettle of fish to player development, an area Jamie Graham has had a lot to do with. Lots of our mids haven't come on as expected which to me says more about our EP programs and tendency to keep young mids on the flanks at AFL level. Have also not had a lot of high first rounders due to trading them away for experienced players (Wellingham) and generally finishing in the top 6.

Lots of issues but can't all be heaped onto our recruitment.
