Wirra has given that Wilson guy from Fremantle a fair serve ...not like Wirra to get into one of his brothers like that but good on him , " Let see what you made of Brother "

Really in the off season why would Wilson even bother saying such rubbish

Anyway Constable has good Handball vision with his HB reminds a little of Pendlebury but at pick 13 you get what you can .
Ah its just a good bit of bants

What are people’s thoughts regarding Naughton? If he’s still there at 13 should we take him knowing we have multiple picks up our sleeve to sort out the midfield? He’s listed as 194cm and a great reader of the play, good mark. Could he become the JK replacement if moved fwd??

Looks like he could be a star half back/CHB. Not sure if he has played forward enough to be a Kennedy replacement.

This poor overhead thing about Pridda is crap. Sure, he couldn't take a big hang, (couldn't get off the ground ) but his hands were pretty solid and has taken plenty of strong marks . If constable is half as good as a Brownlow medalist, then good , pull the trigger . But we have all been crying out for a different type of midfield to what we have had for the last 10 years . Constable represents same same .

Priddis took 21 contested marks in his entire career, an average of one every 11 matches.

Players who I'd compare to Constable:

Jobe Watson took 45 contested marks, an average of one every 5 matches.

Josh Kennedy, 54 constested marks @ one every 4 matches.

Patrick Cripps is already clunking a contested mark every second match, including 15 in his first proper season.

Maybe calling him poor overhead was an exaggeration but you'd hardly plonk him forward and hope he could grab a few.

I'm not one of the people who believes we need fast midfielders fwiw. I think we need strong ones.

Do we need to look at drafting someone to be a wingman. I am happy with Gaff on one side. But I don't think it is Jetta's best position on the other wing. He seems confused whether to attack or defend half the time.

Not enough has been said about Charlie Ballard.
The guy looks a real talent.

A very tall wingman, reminds me of Embley or Westhoff but hopefully more consistent.
I just watched some of his videos. He looks like he reads the play well. But he has the worst kicking action I have seen in a long time.
Double handed drop from waist high.
Sorry but no thanks.

Some things to work on but heaps of potential...Nothing that can't be fixed.
He grew 15cm in 2 years, getting used to being KP height now. The coordination will come.

I think you'll be suprised come draft day.

He'll be a good un.

Pretty hard to be taking grabs at the bottom of the pack . That was his job and did it with aplomb for many years. Hard to replicate that. If constable is your man , fair enough, but won't be heart and soul like Pridda was . I for one will miss his do or die efforts for our club.

I haven't heard much on him. Where do the "experts" expect him to go in the draft, do you know.

No idea where the "experts" think he'll go.
I know KM had him going at 24 (I think), his draft was bought out the day after I selected him in our mock draft. Very little had been said until then I think.
I've also since found out Bishop rates him too. Bishop for me is the number 1 on this forum out of the experts.

On draft day, who knows but for someone that hasn't been spoken about very much, I think he looks a gem.

I didn't want to get into a debate about Priddis - was just providing some counters to people using Priddis as an argument against drafting Constable.

He does remind me of Fyfe a bit. Tall and agile and reads the play well. Just his kicking which worries me. It is not an easy thing to change your kicking action when you have grown up with it. Just ask Levi Casboult.
