I get your point. However I don't think we need to use pick 105. Six picks would probably be plenty (pick 69) and could land us a Ryan type (who if he gave it 100% would play more than one game). Then rookie speculative developing players. What's the issue with that over hartung? Why fill the main list with deadwood for the sake of it? If somebody we like is still there at 87 or whatever it is sure use it.
Hartung seems to have 4 problems and each is a major issue in our game. He is below average to poor in the areas of decision making, skill execution and defensive running. Add to those 3 that he does not always contest the ball when it is his turn to go. This last fault is unforgiveable in my view. He has been in a very good football system for a while now so for 4 major faults to survive indicates that Hartung himself cannot turn things around. I agree with a previous post that if Mitch gives him a tick then perhaps he can be retrained but he has 4 major problems; that is significant. The club would not be working on 1 or 2 issues. It is easy to get totally distracted by our need for pace and ignore major faults. I would prefer he not be listed.

Tbh maybe I'd be keener on Hartung if Masten had been delisted but he's contracted and I don't want two Mastens on the list.

Take the kids/Kelly in the draft until pick 69 then Ryan/Schloithe etc, rookie Banfield and a developing ruck/KPP (as one possible scenario)

Happy to take punts towards the tail end of the draft - Hartung as a list spot doesn't seem like a punt to me, it seems like a relatively likely prospect of turning out exactly like another Masten. Even if that does mean he plays 100 games would rather a small chance of landing a very good AFL player

We are the keenest of twelve clubs on VFL player Bayley Fritsh high flying player who may have been lost to the AFL due to a serious back injury similar to Jesse Hogan ...article on AFL site , at least I know my next pick in the mock draft will be .
From the Eastern Districts league in Melbourne and never got a spot in there TAC Cup team .

Actually sounds promising although been unlucky with injury will be interesting where he ends up in the draft .

Sounds a likely type although having both back and knee issues previously really worries me.
Under the added stress on the body of being on a full AFL training regiment, I'm just not sure the body would hold up.

We also have someone like Ryan who we could target whos body is sound and has made dramatic improvements mentally and physically after the birth of his baby.

Won VFL most promising player for 2017 so he has proved himself kicked 42 goals from 19 VFL games is not a good kick he is an elite kick .

Probably need a top 40 pick so sounds like he will be one in contention for our five picks in the top 40 picks .

From knightmare - "Fritsch is untapped and has the scope to develop into anything, maybe a half-back-flanker , with his long but damaging left foot kick, pace and contested marking among his weapons."

I can see why we're keen...

We badly need this type of player ~ a high flyer that can complement JK. None of our forwards are of this type - not JK, not JD, not Lecca, not Waterman nor Allen. Someone to fly over the top would add another element to our attack. Yes, we have Nik Nat, but he will be rucking most of the time.

Some, including National Jurnos were critical of WCE Trading and the position we hold in the upcoming Draft.
WCE have the most Draft Picks of any club in the top 37 selections.
Only 4 teams have more points.
WCE have 5 Picks before Freo have their 3rd Pick
WCE have 5 Picks before Collingwood have their 2nd Pick.
WCE have 5 Picks before Suns have their 2nd Pick
WCE have 5 picks before Port have their 1st Pick
WCE have 5 Picks before Hawthorn have their 1st Pick.
WCe have 5 picks before Essendon have their 1st Pick.
Great trading and we will see a great Draft result I say.

It's because 2nd rounders aren't sexy trading. Super drafts are hot as right now

So what position does he play?

Half forward / mid?

Like the sound of elite kick and a left footer.

Interesting to see were we rank him. Is he a preferred pick or backup in case who we want has been picked up already such as Kelly?

Or possibly a rookie spot?

If we are looking at Fritsh then I hope we are also looking at Jordan Houlahan from Sturt.
Similar type of player, elite kick, good mark , great leading patterns, younger and not injury prone.

He is one of my smokies for our four second rounders that I think we might be eyeing off.

Not sure what he adds that Ryan can't, apart from the serious injuries (injury prone body?), and habitation transplant.
