even so i just have this feeling wce will want to try and remove their ultra conservative image prior to moving to the new stadium. they have money and they need to build a squad asap to keep the stadium fullMuch different circumstances
this is also another good sign a lot of the deadwood on heaps of cash will be forced into lower contracts.I think something that is often over looked is Wellingham's contract. That struggler is on so much bloody money it's not funny. His contract coming to an end is a very big blessing

If memory serves dajesmac was into Honeychurch at the time? Someone round these parts definitely was
But you're not playing the kids!!!! Where's Parto, Nelson and Cole???Really think we should go very hard at both rockliff and zaharakis. Both cost nothing but money which we will have a punt load of. Can then look at offloading gaff and or masten and look at using our then very strong draft position to potentially trade in a few other players and still take some talent from the draft.
Could very well in theory trade out gaff, masten and our first, second and third round picks and grab rockliff, zaharakis, dave swallow, acres, mcgovern and matera.
Matera isn't worth more than a third.
Gov jnr is really a second rounder plus change.
Dave swallow would likely be a first rounder.
Gaff + our second swaps for acres + saint later first rounder.
Gaff + 30 for Acres + 9
dave swallow + 21 + 25 for pick 9 + pick 10
matera for our third rounder
Gov jnr for 25 + karpany or similar.
FB Sheppard Barrass Hurn
HB Duggan Mcgovern Yeo
C Zaharakis Rockliff Acres
HF Jetta Darling Venables
FF Mcgovern Kennedy Matera
R Nicnat Swallow Shuey
I Sheed Redden Cripps Vardy/Lycett
E Emac, Cole, Nelson, Hutchings, Partington, Wellingham Vardy/Lycett
Looks a good core of 31 afl ready players to me. Wish in one hand, piss in the other and pray for a miracle.
I want Yeo to continue to play down back where he play he plays his best footy with a few mid rotations though out the game.

So do i but with Mitchell & Priddis gone at the end of the year i'd be surprised if he's not a full-time midfielder by the end of next season.
Whether or not he's good enough to be one, i don't know.
After the lack of awareness he showed in the last quarter "incident" against Collingwood it may be a while before he gets thrown into the heat of the battle in the midfield where you need a fair bit of peripheral vision and leg speed off the mark.I wonder if we will develop Duggan back into a midfield over the summer with Mitchell's tutelage. I want Yeo to continue to play down back where he play he plays his best footy with a few mid rotations though out the game.
Yeo allows us to play only 2 talls in defence and we are considerably quicker.I wonder if we will develop Duggan back into a midfield over the summer with Mitchell's tutelage. I was not angry at Duggan getting caught. He was one of the few who tried to take the game on as many of his colleagues had started stalling for time. Yes the holding the ball hurt us but we were inflicting our own pain prior to that incident. After the lack of awareness he showed in the last quarter "incident" against Collingwood it may be a while before he gets thrown into the heat of the battle in the midfield where you need a fair bit of peripheral vision and leg speed off the mark.

I am yet to see Yeo take on a game in midfield like he has from HBF. Seems wrong to gain an average mid and lose a gun defender. Have a look at Yeo in at stoppages. He is not that great at getting his hands from bounces/toss ups.
Now I think this last bit would hopefully give Duggan the confidence he needs. Let's see what a season with a proper midfield/stoppage coach in Mitchell will do for Duns and Nelson. I think Mitchell will be able to impart a lot into Duggan.
