Interesting if there is any truth to the rumour we have offered players for McGovern. We don't really have any players on the outer that would be of interest.

Could any of Lycett, Karpany or Partington be on the table? Surely the latter two have no real value and trading Lycett would be an uncharacteristically aggressive trade by the club.

Could be the outside, corralling bull Adelaide is looking for.

What's the consensus this year if we get a pick around about the top 10. Say we rate a KP and a midfielder around about the same in our rankings.

Do we go tall or look for another midfielder?

Personally I think we should be looking to replace JJK this year- to allow for him to have 2-3 years understudy with the best FF in the game.

At the same time, another classy midfielder in the Higgins mould wouldn't go astray.

I don't doubt it, less chance of him being dropped and them being forced to play him
I had to laugh.
It's just a bit of banter boys. Go with it. I will happily admit that over the course of their existence Freo have stuffed up more than West Coast with drafting. There, you happy?
No. Your a purple. We will always hate you.

a dream scenario would be us making a play for Martin. Richmond will most likely match and therefor our first rounder plus darling to the tigers in return for Martin. Then we give a second rounder and lycett for mitch and some loose change.
Won't be enough. Masto for Dusty and there 1st? Seems fairer.

"Dream" is the correct word.

Martin flies to NZ to see his dad regularly. Is he going to want to add a few hours and a bigger timezone shift to every one of those trips by moving to Perth? Where he has no support network? Not a chance in hell.

Heard from a orominent Richmond supporter a few months back that he's all but gone and is a bit of a mercenary. Was told he would move to Freo if the money was right.

Simple. Just move West Coast over to the East Coast

Benefit 1 - Less Travel.
Benefit 2 - We'd become the Eeagles rather than the Weagles.
Benefit 3 - We'd recruit Dusty.
Benefit 4 - We'd get to play at the MCG more often.

Con 1 - It's a ******* dumb idea.

It's a good question and I think it's just going to have to come down to specific player v player comparisons.

In an ideal world there is a strong KPF prospect in our range at 10. At the moment I would probably be more confident in a mid like Dow/O'Brien/Higgins/Clark over a KPF prospect like Hayes or Balta.

That probably changes if Brander slides into contention for our pick (which seems unlikely at the minute).

I love Darling man but i would trade him in a heart beat if we could get Dusty. The tigers are dying for a quality 2nd tall.
But we can't get Dusty. Ludicrous to even bring it up. While we are at it, let's trade Hill for Dangerfield. We would need pick 1 or 2 and a few million in the cap and a gun wanting to go back home.

Griffin Logue? No thanks.
Whats wrong with Logue?

If we needed a tall back last year instead of mids I'd be happy with Logue. And if Gov did go Barrass and Logue would compliment each other nicely. One is a beast the other a bit more agile.

I wouldnt be unhappy at all with pick 5 plus Logue who went pick 7?

What do people think of giving up our 2017 2nd plus our 2018 2nd for Mitch McGov plus the Crows 2017 3rd rounder?

Thats as fair as Id like to see us go without having to pay overs.

I'd do that, don't see also why he couldn't be #1 forward in the future
