Is that a statement or a question?

I was not aware that we were even close to making a bid on him. I thought Richmond were early days into him and I have no idea whether we had any interest at all.
I don't think he showed any interest in coming home

I'd like to see us draft Fogarty, Higgins or Clark personally. But a lot will change between now and draft time. Hell, a lot will change on the day of the draft!
Would be very happy with Clark or Fogarty.

Darcy Fogarty will not be addressing our midfield needs!

I would be happy on a second rounder for Lochlan Fogarty. Probably need an early second and Gold Coast hold a handful of these. Would love to chuck Masten and our second to Gold Coast for one of their earlier seconds. They could do well with his outside run!

There's a lot of hype around Clark. I wouldn't be surprised if he is gone before our pick.

Patrick Farrant relative unknown but is a local smokie of the draft .

17 yr old indigenous player from Bunbury FC , has a younger brother believed to be even more exciting .

Patrick Farrant has been invited to the state combine and is playing colts for SD after not playing any 16s or 18s State team football . Brett Peake played with Farrant at Bunbury FC and rates him as a special talent .

Interesting to see if West Coast show any interest at 185cm and a good contested mark against grown men in the SWFL sounds like he is a chance to be drafted , if we clear the decks which we are there is a good chance we will have some late picks but why isn't Patrick Farrant in our academy , Bunbury is our zone .

I am thinking he will land about picks 9 to 14 so spot on for our pick. And I am taking a greater liking to what he would bring to us.

Bit each way but without a question mark. There would have been some interest at the time but not sure how much.
Hope he stays healthy and clean and a good news story.

On another point, Looking forward to having a good look at Hopper on the weekend. then wondering how much of a chance at getting him we are.

In order to land Mitch McGovern I wonder if the clubs would entertain the Eagles 2017 2nd rounder plus the Eagles 2018 first round pick for McGovrn plus the Crows 2017 first?

So approx 2017 pick 28 plus approx 2018 pick 8 to 10 for McGov plus 2017 pick 17 or 18.

So pick 28 plus an upgrade next year into the top 10.

We then have say pick 9 plus 17 this year for a mini reboot.

Eagles still use 2 firsts in the draft across 2 years but bring next years forward 12 months to look at contending before Kennedy and Hurn types retire.

17 could land Oscar Allen, Hunter Clark or another slider. 17 is just in the right mix to grab a top 12 pick who slides due to clubs seeing things differently or draft more for needs.

why would we give our first rounder for next season away. Its likely we will rgress even further down the ladder in 2018.Adelaide will laugh all the way to the bank as they go from being the 2017 premier to having a top 5 pick in 2018.

Allen is also 191cm and no point takig him unless he shows that he has grown taller and there's evidence he can grow even taller. We already have JD, Waterman, lamb, M.Allen and potetiall gov jr all under the 194cm mark.

Read the post again, the reason is in there.

We lost quite a few games by less than 2 goals this year and that is with no rucks......Petrie leading our rucks in several games.

We cull the dead wood and next season we bring in Naitanui, Lycett, Venebles, Rioli, McGovern, a free agent plus pick 9 plus 17 into the team and we are just as likely to improve not go backwards.

LOve your optimism man but NN is coming off an ACL and potentially not having played for 18 months. he not gonna be that great. We will have a more kids in and even tho it woud be great for the long run, next season it would not be that great regarding on field success. We would need to rely on fitness of players, JK maintaining form, shuey having a monster year and guys like redden and Sheed having exceptional years. Thats all achievable but i wouldn't put money on that happening.

Regress with a fit Nic Nat? Doubt it.

What's Brendon Abbott doing these day? He's not at collingwood anymore is he?

How about we just give them our second rounder alone, with a decent front-loaded contract to ensure he nominates us? We should have the cash this year, and unless they can land a bigger fish why not use it?

He's shown talent but no more than Yeo had at the time.

Moves like a baby giraffe, didn't seem too exciting to be honest.

Field kicking and pace hard to determine but he did some creative and clever things in that footage.

Watching Gov Jr play tonight. I know it's an exercise in futility but what the hell were our recruiters doing? Tom Lamb?! I mean it just boggles the mind.
